Answered I believe in evolution but I still believe in God.

I accept the theory of evolution as a scientific explanation of how things developed. My faith in God does not depend on the earth being a certain age, or that the "6 days" in Genesis are 24 hour days as we know them today, or that all creation sprang into being in its present form.

On a side note, Genesis actually offers two slightly differing creation stories in Chapters 1 & 2. Only one of those stories involves 6 days, and the order of creation is different in the two stories. It takes some interpretation and reconciliation to present both stories as literally true.

I accept it for the well supported anaylsis of the facts as we know them that it is. There is absolutely no controversy within the scientific community over the existence of evolution. Alternative hypothesies have been easily falsefied. The only people who do not believe in evolution are religously motivated/

I believe in a higher power but I will not say that evolution is stupid and be little anyone else's beliefs. I do have to say that Darwin did reject his belief in Evolution prior to his death. If the founder of the theory rejested it than I guess it is not as sound and stead fast as the belief in some higher power of 100's of years.

Evolution happened, is continuing to happen, and is the sole mechanism by which the diversity of life we observe came about.

    In before "Theory LOL".
Evolution is both a fact and a theory. The fact of evolution can be readily observed, the theory of evolution uses sound scientific knowledge to explain the fact.

Me Cro-Magnum Man ,Me got club. UGA-UGA-UGA.
The Theory of Evolution is the REAL fairy-tale and don't be fooled because it is a theory and being a theory it must be believed by faith just as the theory of Creation must be accepted by faith. If you want to believe you've came from a monkey and eventually were able to stand like Neanderthal Man, uga, uga. that's one's CHOICE.
But as for me I believe the book of Genesis. The name Genesis by the way in case you don't know means beginnings. Genesis 1:27

Vertical evolution - yes. Horizontal evolution - not so much.

By the way, where did the first carbon-based cell come from? The whole lightning strikes theory has been all but obliterated. It takes a leap of faith for both sides of the argument to come up with the answer.
  • raves     [-] by Sufferer of the Mazzaroth
I thought horizontal evolution is something like one breed of dog verses another breed of dog, but both are still dogs.

I don't know really it makes sence why some men look like apes lol

but why are there still monkeys if we evolved from them?

  • raves +2 -1 [-] by Lovee
We didn't evolve from monkeys, we just share a common anscestor. They're like our (distant) cousins.

Answered Yes I belive in Evolution 100% regardless of what the bible says.

Believing in evolution does not exclude God so why do they have to be put against each other? If one's faith relies only on the literal sense of the bible so much that it cannot allow differing facts to be presented, it certainly is on a wobbly ground. Bible offers a creative way to explain the beginning of things to people who were asking questions but had no way for answering them. Besides, we have obviously evolved since the time of stick and stone - otherwise we would not have this very media!

no monkey truned into a person! we were not monkies.........................
  • raves     [-] by Er'akka
True, I believe we were mice first...even the monkeys.
  • raves +2 -1 [-] by Lovee
That is so ignorant. Evolution doesn't claim we came from monkeys. It just says that we have a common anscestor around 5-7 million years ago.

Answered Evolution is rediculus. How can a monkey turn into a person?

There is a song that goes: "I'm no kin to the monkey. The monkeys no kin to me. I don't know much about your ancestors, but mine didn't swing from a tree."
  • raves +1 -1 [-] by Warren
Well if the song says so, it must be right!
  • raves +1   [-] by pastafarian
I'm sure the song came from a random internet site, which is also unquestionably true.

I don't believe in evolution 100% yet I do believe it to be more on the right path then the bible.

Answered Evolution is rediculus. How can a monkey turn into a person?

God is the creator of everything and everyone. Evolution is in my opinion a crock. If we evolved from apes why aren't apes still evolving? Why are there still apes?
  • raves +1   [-] by Ben
They are still evolving... So are we
  • raves     [-] by Child of light
If they are stilll evolving, How come nobody sees anything weird happening to them?
  • raves +1   [-] by Er'akka
It's a slow process, you see.
  • raves     [-] by Child of light
But someone should have seen at least a little change happening
  • raves +1   [-] by Lovee
It takes millions of years for even a small change.
  • raves +1   [-] by ruth
so we're still evolving, well then what do you think we will be? geee!
