Would you do the honorable thing and write in Barack Obama if the DNC superdelegates help Hillary Clinton to cheat him out of the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination?

The Democratic Party candidates signed an agreement with the DNC allowing them to strip any state moved its primary election too far ahead. Barack Obama removed himself from the ballot in Michigan since he planned to honor that contract, and would have done so in Florida also if the state would have allowed it without dropping out of the race altogether.

Since that time, Hillary Clinton has bragged about her so-called "win" in both of the disqualified states, lying to people and saying that her wins ther PROVE that she can beat John McCain in the general election. She lied and USED the misfortune of the people in those two states to get votes in other states. Now she is behind in every way, even if the two disqualified states are counted, and she is trying to get them counted AS-IS and convince the superdelegates to make her the nominee!

I just added another 2008 election simulation with Hillary Clinton and John McCain representing the so-called "major parties" and eight other candidates who are also running for president in the 2008 election.
This one allows a vote FOR a candidate at...
http://sodahead.com/poll/84368/
and a vote AGAINST a candidate at...
http://sodahead.com/poll/84379/
(Subtract the votes against the candidate from the votes for the candidate for a net-vote rating.)
I had made one like it with Barack Obama and John McCain as the major party candidates because Barack Obama was winning both in the actual election and in all of my polls that included him, but this time I'm including Hillary Clinton instead... but unlike the actual election, these are balanced dual-vote polls where a negative vote is also allowed.

Feel free to use the "None of the Above" option for write-ins.
Don't be afraid to try voting for a minor party if you want to because this is a balanced plurality system which is much more fair than the traditional plurality voting system.

I hope you'll try the new poll after placing your vote here. You don't have to cast your vote in the poll as you indicate here that you would do in the actual election. As for me, Barack Obama has my vote even if I have to write him in, because the only reason Hillary stayed in the race was by cheating and Barack Obama is the better candidate by far! :)

So, would will you help send a message to the Democratic Party that we want change whether they do or not?

But it won't be neccessarry. The backlash would be to great. The people are not with shady Hillary. Not the people who can shake up congress.

I hope it doesn't come to such a drastic measure... but I am prepared for anything.

I will because of the horrible campaigns the other two are running and Hillary Clinton should be ashamed of herself.
I know the Clinton camp is behind this man.

It was the Rev. Dr. Barbara Reynolds, a former editorial board member of USA Today who teaches at the Howard University School of Divinity. An ordained minister, as New York Daily News writer Errol Louis points out in today's column, she was introduced at the press club event as the person (( "who organized" it.))

Reynolds has not returned e-mails or phone calls seeking comment.

Now think about all the states that got played by the Clintons and her supporters.
    Texas, Ohio ETC.

I've always said that it is very unfair that people are being tricked out of their vote by people like the Clintons

Or Bush and MCcain with that war tactic crap. That is the best way to scare Americans into voting for you is to tell them " If you don't vote for me there will be another 9/11" Or " We have to stay the course in Iraq because if we leave we'll be fighting a war on our home turf. "

    That's B.S.

We shouldn't fall for crap like this but we do and that's how BUSH GOT ELECTED, Phones got tapped, Iraq war started, and MCCAIN BECAME THE REPUBLICAN NOMINEE.

Whatever happened to America being THE HOME OF THE BRAVE?

Thanks for the vote, and the comment. You said "Photo courtesy of the Obama campaign"... was that serious? I have never known them to do anything like that. If a staff member supplied something like that to someone that would be considered negative campaigning which is against his rules. I know this because I have visited many Obama campaign offices as a traveling volunteer. If you are serious that it was supplied by the campaign, you should tell someone higher up about it... because I'm pretty sure that would be a serious violation and they would want to make sure it didn't happen again.

Maybe the honorable thing, but this election marks a critical turning point in this nation's history like none I have seen in my lifetime (I am 47). ALL that matters to me is putting the Bush-Cheney-McBush Crime Family out of business. If Hillary finagles the nomination, I will vote for her and support her 100%.

My fear now is that he's going to offer her the VP spot and have to sleep with one eye opened at all times. He'd spend his entire time as President fighting with his VP and her husband.

Me too. I hope they don't try to force him to take her. That would be horrible with Bill in one of White House bedrooms with his pants down around his ankles.

It would depend on the origin of the movement. The general idea of a write-in protest is contrary to Barack's campaign. If the ground swell was truly of a grass roots nature, I would write him in.

At this point I don't really see much difference between McCain and Clinton, so my vote would be simply against McCain.

After all that, its not gonna happen. Barack has this locked.
  • raves     [-] TechnoZeus replied to Tom
Well, this is the root, right here... whether it grows or not, he has MY vote. I will do what's right, rather than go with the crowd. The crowd can join me if they like. :)

So far, it's looking pretty good. Could be better... and I hope it will be, because if the DNC chooses not to support the candidate that has the integrity, the votes, the majority of states, and the pledged delegates, that would be our signal that they are NOT working in the best interest of the people, and I will fight them... alone if need be, but I would much rather have help. :)
  • raves     [-] Tom replied to TechnoZeus
Lets see where we are at on June 4. It may be time to organize.

I think Howard will do the right thing when the cards hit the table. When you have delegates, votes and vision its hard to say no.

It's too important to me that a DEM be in the Oval Office - I'll support which ever candidate is the nominee.
  • raves     [-] TechnoZeus replied to Christopher
That's your call. If you feel that supporting the party regardless of their actions is what's right, then I wouldn't ask you to do otherwise... but I will do what I fell is right as well.
  • raves +1   [-] by TechnoZeus

    Answered Yes

Barack Obama has my fully support. I hope the DNC will decide to have my support as well but I will not support them if they let Hillary Clinton cheat her way into the nomination!
  • raves     [-] Christopher replied to TechnoZeus
I don't think it's gonna happen, TechnoZeus. But I wouldn't see it as "supporting the party" - to me, I believe too strongly in what our country needs next - and that is NOT McCain. We need a DEM at 1600 - and I'll do everything I can to make it happen.
  • raves     [-] TechnoZeus replied to Christopher
There are at least a dozen candidates that are better than John McCain, including Hillary... but of them only Barack Obama has the "potential" to win without the support of the DNC, and I will write him in before I help them to bring us "full speed ahead" into the next world war!
