Maybe if they retake their driving license test again but i think everyone should retake their driving license test after 15 years so every 15 years people should retake their driving license.

I think this should apply to ALL people. If one can pass the road tests with good scores and in decent time, then they should be left alone, but if they can't get through without fudging up a percentage of the tests: TAKE IT AWAY.

However, I think that people older than 65 who should be made to take the driving tests as well as college-age drivers and folks who use Bluetooth/ talk on cellphones. And since some people aren't trustworthy, a mini-cam should be installed in the car to make sure that people are worthy to drive or have their existent license taken away.

it depends on their level of alertness and health first. really though the cell phone users should be reined in,i have almost been hit too many times to count because they are trying to drive with one hand and can't

There are many people that drive just as good at 65 as they did when they were 25.They're are also many people that will never get it right! The only fair way is to institute a testing process that everyone has to go through, maybe every 5 years. The interval isn't important. What is important is the outcome. If you fail, you get 1 chance to retake the test, in case you were just having an off day. If you fail again, your driving days are over, no matter how old you are.

    Sounds like a plan.

Oh and did I mention that the test will only be given in ENGLISH? Since that's the language that all the road signs are written in, it only makes sense, no?

    I agree 100%.

65 really isn't that old. It's currently the retirement age...so, you retire, then you have to sit around your house because you're not allowed to drive? That's ridiculous. I do think that driving tests should be mandatory, though...for those over 70 - road tests, along with vision and hearing screening.

Most of us old farts having yearly physicals to test all of that stuff already.

i don't think so they should revoke a license after 3 wrecks in one week though because that is crazy
  • raves +1   [-] by mk, Supreme Smartass
3 wrecks in a week? Call the undertaker and bury them now.

There are 65 year olds that drive better than 25 year olds . As long as a person can pass a driving test they should be allowed to drive. With people not retiring until later these days, it would make it very difficult for everyone over 65 to have find another mode of transportation.
