Mysterious, ominous, Batman. Man of few words. Better voice and he wore a better looking costume, minus the lack of neck movement. Of course his theme was more heroic and memorable.

Michael Keaton is BATMAN. Val Kilmer did a good job. George Clooney killed it. Christian Bale is the only dude around to give Batman life. As for Adam West, well, they did the best they could.

Alot of it had to do with screen writing. Clooney and Kilmer were really bad (either acting or screen wirting). Keaton was pretty good. West was in a different decade. Bale and the scipt bring to life the darkness of being Batman to life, yet keeping Bruce Wayne very believable as a billionaire, playboy, business man.

Michael Keaton wasn't outstanding but he was adequate...the same can be said of the new Superman (Brandon Routh) he wasn't outstanding but Routh was adequate.

Christopher Reeve and Christian Bale are outstanding.

You fools!!! I don't understand why is everyone choosing Christian Bale... is it because of the new movie coming out?? Well, you guys should really watch Batan and Batman Returns one more time and you'll figure out why he is the Batman from all of these. Adam West is a legend by the way.

adam west makes batman look like a "dark knight" he is better than all these other guys i mean he had the best costume. I hate every batman but this guy in fact i hate DC for this.

Overall Michael Keaton was the BEST. But that is followed closely by Christian Bale. I just believe him the best as Bruce Wayne and as Batman.

Christian Bales is the best,I liked Michael Keaton,but props must be given to Kevin Conroy who voiced Batman/Bruce Wayne in all of the best animated versions,including the recent Dark Knight tie-in,BATMAN: GOTHAM KNIGHT.

bale has my vote bc i feel he is way more feared by his enemies. directing of vthe movie had a lot to do with the success of bale in these movies. christopher nolan is great.
