Teen alleging rape turns to YouTube--Is this a good way of revealing her sexual assualt?
The video posted on YouTube by 16 year-old Crystal from Florida is her pleading for help after she was raped. Crystal seems to be very upset and hurt since her case has been dropped, since the state attorney's office in Florida, "feel slighted by the justice system".

It becomes very common for young people to post videos on social networking websites sharing their terrible stories. Is Crystal dealing with this issue in the right way?

Justice is dead in America. Washington your Fired! People rise up and restore the constitution. Wake up America and smell the foul stench rising up from our capitol.

Court cases are based on evidence, You Tube does not require any proof at all.

Go For It! It's important to inform viewers of how traumatizing rape can be and at the same time ,puch the system to be more harsh on the convictions on these rapist!!!

She's going to regret this later on.

Edit: Wait a moment..did they test her for semen or other forms of evidence?

You see? This is why women who cry rape when it doesn't happen is a horrible thing and (which has happened a lot in the past and will), yet they're mostly allowed go without any words, because if this woman has been raped, no one believes those that have been harmed are believed. This is disheartening to watch.

Everyone on youtube just wants to watch and laugh at her. She should definitely tell her PARENTS, who should in turn hire a LAWYER and PROSECUTE the fuck out of whoever raped her.
  • raves     [-] by Faith
She said in her video that her dad was the only one that was willing to help her, so it sounds like her parents know. She also says that she lives in poverty so her parents can't afford to hire a lawyer. Even if they could, a defense attorney can't just take someone to court and charge them with a crime. They could file in civil court, but they would only get money, and probably not even that.

Her dad is willing to help her. He should go to wal-mart, buy a shotgun, and blast the fool who raped his daughter. In my opinion.

If someone did something like that to my daughter, he wouldn't live to be prosecuted : )

i think she is going to deeply regret posting it, because now everyone who scans the internet will know. I would hate that. But i do understand her frustration and needing to ask for help.

Letting her story be known is something that I think could possibly help.
For all the bad people in the world, there will always be good, too.

I'm sure she has seen other people prosecuted from youtube videos...like those girls who beat their friend down at a house, and those guys who posted a video of an actual rape.

I think she believes that this is a good way to get her message out there so others can rally behind her and get something done.
  • raves +1   [-] by Mz.Dior
good point because the other video really did send out a message!

I think if she feels she had turned to everything she has access to and nothing has happened and she still has questions this may be the only way for her to get what she needs to move on.

I feel for her, but youtube is not the court system. Anyone could say anything about anybody and post a video.
