all the time ... just for info for the general public... I HATE WRITING TICKETS .. but it is part of the job... I write a ratio of 3 warning for every 1 ticket that I write .. so odds are in your favor if I pull you over that you are only going to get a warning ... however, there are a few things that will get you one in a heart beat ..
1. attitued .. pass the test
2. arguing .. see #1
3. playing stupid .. "i was speeding???"
4. "I had my cruise control set to the speed limit officer"
5. "My speedometer said I was doing the speed limit"
6. "I just bough oversized tires, will that affect my speedometer?"
7. "Is the speed limit posted?" my personal favorite and guaranteed to get you a second ticket if I can find a reason ...
8. "I want to see the radar"
... your best bet is to just say, "yeah officer... I know I was speeding, I'll slow down." if you get the ticket, you get the ticket (you deserve it after all -for speeding) .. but with me, at least, the odds are still in your favor 3 to 1... -
Attitude means alot.Honesty is always the best policy.
But there are times when it just don't matter. I grew up with much
respect for the Law....But these Cops where i live, the majority of them
are as useless as tits on a ole boar hog.You give em a gun and all of a sudden they have big gahonies(spelled wrong i am sure). All the decent ones are retired. Some call them the Gestapo. If they had to go where there were real criminals they would never make it. Of course i know
all Policeman are not like them... I know many Good Cops.
I hope you never pull me over, cause i will fib lol -

A speeding male driver looked in his rearview mirror and saw the State Highway Patrol light show in full blaze and decided to try to outrun the Trooper. After five miles the driver thought better of it and pulled over onto the burm and set the emergency brake and waited for the officer to approach. The officer asked "You saw my lights flashing, why did you try to make a run for it?" The driver replied, "Oh I wasn't making a run for it at all." You see my wife ran off with a State Trooper 4 years ago and I thought you were trying to bring her back." -

Friend's new boyfriend who's was 70 was stopped coming to visit her a little faster than he should have been driving (84) told officer that he had little time left so he had to drive fast to make most of it. Office let him go with a warning. 3 months later, they got married. -

yes, my friend was driving to fast. When she was pulled over she said she was speeding because her friend was sick and she was driving her to the hospital. The cop escorted her there and she ended up spending hours with her friend in the emergency room. The ticket would have been cheaper than the hospital bill! LOL -

Story time- one of my friends told me this story about a police officer that pulled over his Grandfather(or some relative of the sort) and he was doing like 20 over the cop came up to him and trying to be funny he asked the Grandfather for his Pilots license ( pointing out that he was going so fast he was flying) well the Grandfather reached into his wallet and handed him just that, he had been a licensed pilot for years and years, the Cop just laughed and let him go just because he had that License!
Kinda funny!
