Pick McCain's VP?

http://hotair.com/archives/2008/05/29/are-you-ready-for-vice-...

"Via the Standard, Wizbang’s got a hot tip that the head of McCain’s VP search team is on the ground in Juneau. If it’s true, though, then why not advertise that fact? It’d kick up some buzz … although maybe that’s the problem. If they finally end up going with some more predictable choice, like Ridge or Mitt, it’ll feel like a letdown."

    He needs a real Republican:

    Answered Romney

By far the best qualified. Only fear is that his being a Mormon will scare away those that don't know anything about that religion. He has an amazing track record with business dealings and leading Mass..

Based on current political circumstances, I think she would be a great choice.

Rev. Hagee is a man of honor and a great American.

I wish McCain could say it was his longtime spiritual advisor like Obama and Jeremiah Wright but sadly McCain is not a strong social conservative as I wish.

    Answered Romney

Please let it be my boy Mitt! Strategically speaking though, he'd do better with a woman or a Hispanic at his side...we'll just have to wait and see!
  • raves +1   [-] Ken replied to cock-punch
Agreed, CP! Christine Todd Whitman, former governor of N.J., as I recall, was an attractive conservative woman. - wonder why we hear nothing about her! I would also like for him to consider J.C. Watts, former Oklahoma Congressman, who has excellent conservative credentials!

Unsure of this at this time. I like Condi, but the Bush baggage will be too heavy of a weight. I would like to see a woman on the ticket, but only if she is the most qualified. Not just because she is a woman. How about a conservative Democrat? Then after McCain wins, leave the Republican party and form a new Centerist party. Just a dream huh.

Honestly I don't know who I would be excited about. I adore Condie Rice . But she has so much what the party would call Bush-baggage. She is Bright, articulate, as well rounded in matters of state and world matters than John McCain himself, well educated, certainly has more experience than anyone else. And what a lovely person to boot.
  • raves +1   [-] Rob~NObama~PUMA! replied to Cat
I have a strong opinion he might just choose her to contradict the black/woman vote imagine how many Obama supporters would be on here claiming where all racist, a lot less. If there race card was nil and void I seriously doubt such racist acts like the atrocity of S.C. 91% black vote would ever happen again. Not to mention the HRC fans eager for a women in the W.H.
  • raves     [-] Cat replied to Rob~NObama~PUMA!
Yeah in slightly different world. But I wouldn't hold my breath. He (McCain) still takes orders from someone I bet, and she isn't on their agenda.
  • raves +1   [-] Ken replied to Cat
How about your own former Oklahoma congressman, J.C. Watts!
  • raves +1   [-] Cat replied to Ken
There is something of a mystery to the public as to what happened to the outstanding career of J.C. who I have worked with and really did like. He was going to be the "Golden" boy of the Republican party. But there were several persons who took a dive at the same time in order to save the careers of 2 homosexuals EXTREMELY HIGH IN GOVERNMENT, both with White House privileges. 1 with one of the highest Protocol of security in the country. I personally know several people in Oklahoma who lost their careers with the NSA, and political positions in the Republican party so that these worthless bustards could still "BE"" someone. Today - One is a very important person in Oklahoma, the other no longer a player in Washington but still has a reputation. Where as the rest of the people who were "sacrificed" lost everything, For GOD & COUNTRY, trust me.

    What about Ron ?
  • raves +2   [-] Art replied to lfc
I am sure the GOP would love the support of the Ron Paul people but there is so much hate in their rhetoric, I think the Ron Paul brigades will help Barack Obama get elected.
  • raves +2   [-] Diverbelo replied to Art
Not quite sure I agree with you Art. Ron Paul on fiscal issues is the opposite of Obama. He is even more conservative than McCain. I support Ron Paul, but realisticly will vote for John McCain. We can't afford Obama.
