ARE WIDESPREAD RIOTS INEVITABLE ONCE THE DEM RACE FINALLY CONCLUDES WITH A NOMINEE? Obama supporters rioting because they believe the nomination was stolen from him (racism) OR Hillary’s supporters rioting because they feel the same. (sexism)?

THIS POLL ISN'T ABOUT WHO YOU SUPPORT OR WHAT YOU WANT TO HAPPEN. NO BASHING. JUST PREDICT WHAT YOU THINK WILL OCCUR.

Republicans have rallies, Dem's have Protest that turn to Riots!
They only fight Republicans, never the enemy!

Please do not fear-monger. The majority of the popluation (either pro Clinton or Obama) are entitled to their believes and voting rights as long as they conduct themselves peacefully.

However, society and government should have ZERO tolerance for violence.

Johnny, please understand that this poll was absolutely NOT meant to instill fear, or prompt any action based on any fear that one might feel. It was a very serious inquisition that I was hoping would give me a sense of what others thought.
However, I absolutely agree with you regarding what the tolerance level in society and government should be.

I'm sure they'll be alot of foolish stunts, but it only hurts the people involved. It won't change anything. Just alot of drama over what we actually have no controll over anyway!

    Thanks Tracy. Well put!

Hard to see feminists rising up and rioting, although it was proven that liberal arts majors were more violently inclined than other majors. Reality is that only blacks would feel entitled to widespread rioting.

I am undecided on the riot thing I kind of doubt the Hillary supporters will riot. I do feel that Obama will loose a lot of the Hillary supporters due to the way the Democratic primary has progressed thus far.

    Answered Yes

Hillary supporters will not riot. I wouldn't be surprised if blacks do but that wouldn't influence my vote.

I guess it's a good thing McCain has the Rep. side tied up because I sure would hate to see the 'senior citizens' of this country rioting! To be very honest, I can see this happening, especially if Obama doesn't get the nomination.

    I think it is coming.

Rassle, thanks for doing what I asked and just answering the question without the bashing, hatred and political posturing that others have done. I appreciate your input.

I hope not, but I think political unrest is coming caused by Obama as well as a big recession caused by Bush.

    Nada to rioting.

Brightstar, thanks for your answer, and refraining from bashing any of the candidates.

Depens on if they join together on one ticket - that's the winning strategy. Clinton/Obama or Obama/Clinton. Either one works for me. Go Dems!
  • raves +1   [-] by GloriaWill
    Kari, thanks for your comment.

Well they probably are. But, you know people will use any excuse to further their cause. It is not about race or sex. Neither one of the Democratic candidates deserve to be in office.

I am really unsure what is going to happen at the convention, but I do worry that there may be some violence/riots w/ whatever group is not chosen.

I AM LEAVING TOWN DURING THE DNC. I don't want to be ANYWHERE CLOSE to this city!!
  • raves +1   [-] by GloriaWill
Thanks for answering, Faith. Is that because you don't believe it will be safe?
  • raves +2   [-] by Faith-NObama-McCain/ Palin 08
I don't think it will be safe AT ALL. I was sitting in on a class down at the college, on the campus where the convention is being held, and some people came in to see if anyone wanted to work security, for free, H E L L N O!! They have already announced some of the plans of other groups. People are just incredibly passionate about this election. I can't see how it will be safe at all : ( Many of us are wondering WHY we are having this in Denver??
  • raves     [-] by GloriaWill
Wow, Faith. That's scary. I don't blame you for wanting to get out of there! Yes, it's been an emotional roller coaster for us dems, and I am extremely passionate in my support for my candidate, but I try to limit my reaction to screaming at the tv. lol

Thanks again for not bashing one side or the other.
  • raves     [-] by Faith-NObama-McCain/ Palin 08
It will be interesting to say the least... I am not extremely passionate about my candidate, but I am passionate about who I do not want. I don't see the point to bashing, people can only learn when they are able to have a calm discussion. Although on another poll, I am having a more feisty conversation : )
  • raves     [-] by GloriaWill
lol Yeah, I am very carefully staying away from those kind of polls, at least until AFTER the nomination. Life is too short, and I found that I wasn't enjoying enough of it when I'd get caught up in a back and forth heated debate that would somehow lead to hatefulness. All it does is fan the flames making it harder for any of us to unite in the end. Oh, it also raises my blood pressure! But that's why I didn't want anyone to get into who they were for or against on here. Ya know what I mean?
  • raves     [-] by Faith-NObama-McCain/ Palin 08
I sometimes enjoy it, it is humorous at times. I am tired of being called a racist though : (
  • raves +1   [-] by GloriaWill
Elle, thank you so much for responding in such a thoughtful way. I'd rather not even know what political party people belong to, let alone what candidate they support (there are other polls on here for that). Just if they think there will be rioting or social unrest. Thanks again!
