ARE WIDESPREAD RIOTS INEVITABLE ONCE THE DEM RACE FINALLY CONCLUDES WITH A NOMINEE? Obama supporters rioting because they believe the nomination was stolen from him (racism) OR Hillary’s supporters rioting because they feel the same. (sexism)?
THIS POLL ISN'T ABOUT WHO YOU SUPPORT OR WHAT YOU WANT TO HAPPEN. NO BASHING. JUST PREDICT WHAT YOU THINK WILL OCCUR.-
Answered No
Please do not fear-monger. The majority of the popluation (either pro Clinton or Obama) are entitled to their believes and voting rights as long as they conduct themselves peacefully.
However, society and government should have ZERO tolerance for violence. -
Johnny, please understand that this poll was absolutely NOT meant to instill fear, or prompt any action based on any fear that one might feel. It was a very serious inquisition that I was hoping would give me a sense of what others thought.
However, I absolutely agree with you regarding what the tolerance level in society and government should be. -
I don't think it will be safe AT ALL. I was sitting in on a class down at the college, on the campus where the convention is being held, and some people came in to see if anyone wanted to work security, for free, H E L L N O!! They have already announced some of the plans of other groups. People are just incredibly passionate about this election. I can't see how it will be safe at all : ( Many of us are wondering WHY we are having this in Denver??
-
Wow, Faith. That's scary. I don't blame you for wanting to get out of there! Yes, it's been an emotional roller coaster for us dems, and I am extremely passionate in my support for my candidate, but I try to limit my reaction to screaming at the tv. lol
Thanks again for not bashing one side or the other. -
It will be interesting to say the least... I am not extremely passionate about my candidate, but I am passionate about who I do not want. I don't see the point to bashing, people can only learn when they are able to have a calm discussion. Although on another poll, I am having a more feisty conversation : )

lol Yeah, I am very carefully staying away from those kind of polls, at least until AFTER the nomination. Life is too short, and I found that I wasn't enjoying enough of it when I'd get caught up in a back and forth heated debate that would somehow lead to hatefulness. All it does is fan the flames making it harder for any of us to unite in the end. Oh, it also raises my blood pressure! But that's why I didn't want anyone to get into who they were for or against on here. Ya know what I mean?

Elle, thank you so much for responding in such a thoughtful way. I'd rather not even know what political party people belong to, let alone what candidate they support (there are other polls on here for that). Just if they think there will be rioting or social unrest. Thanks again!

I hope not.
