Answered Let her walk!!!!!
Let the girl walk. You don't even get your diploma at the ceremony anyway. She can walk and make up the credits later. I didn't get to walk at my graduation and it was devistating. You only graduate high school once. Let her share the day with her friends and family! -

Answered Sad, but she didnt make the credits....
At the risk of having all of you sending me hate mail I'm going to have to agree with the principal. It is horrible that she got cancer, and I applaud her strength to survive, but she didn't get the right amount of credits. Walking across the stage at graduation and getting your diploma is saying that you completed all you needed to and have graduated, she didn't do that. I sympathize with her but her asking the principal to "just bend the rules a little bit" is not something that is justified. Not to mention unfair to those who worked to get the privilege of walking across the stage. Even if she did her classes over the summer, there's no guarantee she would pass them.
I do think that there should be something mentioned about her at the graduation, acknowledging her hard work and courage during that tough time. I think denying that is cold hearted and sending the wrong message to the community. -

Answered Let her walk!!!!!
that is so sad that she cant walk at her own graduation. i would be mad as a young adult and dissapointed that i didnt get to finish high school. i mean if you had cancer and was in therapy or recovery or getting treated daily would you have time to do that. as a parent i would immediatly consult the school board and if it got too ugly i would sew. -

Answered Let her walk!!!!!
There are some naive people in the world today.... Okay she dealing with cancer, and on top of that trying to fight for her life.... So they should understand that, and let her walk and whatever she did not continue with in school, while she discontinue it b/c of this cause, they she let her be able to make up the work in "SS" -

Sad, the real world reality is starting for her already. I have encountered so much unfair treatment. I have even gone to court for some issues, when you are passionate, the law is on your side with tons of any documentation. Well, may she be blessed anyway. -

They should have let her walk with pride. She was fighting for her life,so
her grades fell. Big Deal give her a break. People seem not to look fair
on things until it happens to them and then they want understanding. Also,
to ad my mom is very ill and was seeing a doctor for years and she
had for breast cancer and one time she was to weak and sick to go to her
family doctor and with a 4 day notice he still wanted his money and had
nerve to dismiss her as a client. How rude! The sick and the old should
be shown respect cause one day we will get old and hopefully not sickly
The lack of caring and kindness and morals and values are gone today
people care about themselves only . Its is sad . I am christian and the last
time the world got this bad God flooded the earth so, people need to think
about history repeats itself...A old saying is "you get what you give". Show
no mercy get no mercy. There is summer school to make up
the credits lacking!!!! -

Answered Let her walk!!!!!
Let her walk , If her grades was good enough when she was in class and the treatments were her reasons for not walking I think she should be allowed to walk with her class , because with the strength to return was a bout of its own ,. It so easy for one to judge when you have not walk in that person shoes. She doesn't need excuses and reasons to stop her from walking. She need encouraging and a reason to walk -
