and it is 2314808608956829345684906 times better, I love me some Mac. <3 First got it when I went away to college, the only thing I don't like about mine is the lack of photobooth and no webcam. but I can live without them.

I don't know if I think Mac is THAT many times better than PC! (Is that number significant, or were you just having fun?) Thanks for the comment -- and I hope you get your photobooth and webcam!

    I love my PC. :3

Which Windows do you use? I keep hearing Vista is horrible... Thanks for the comment!
  • raves     [-] by SearchlightMasquerade
I use Vista. It's not as bad as people make it out to be. It's kinda of like an over-protective parent. They just have a lot of security that can be hard to get around, and if you had files saved to your drive before you switch over it can be difficult to be able to access them.
But I've figured out how to get around that stuff and it's great.
And if there's a risk of something that could give the computer a virus or something like that, it shuts down without warning so most people don't like that.

Yeah, I'm not sure I'd like my computer shutting itself down without warning, either!

Gaming on a mac is like shaving with a bowling pin.

I got my start on a mac many moons ago, but for some reaon have always used a PC ever since. Don't know why really...

As long as you're happy! Thanks for the comment!

No worries, I seem to think that PC's are de-evolving tho, you cant run bugger all programs on a PC now that doesn't involve some sort of Mac software.
  • raves     [-] by highdesertgemini
    I didn't know that -- weird!

I'm partial to Macs, myself. I work on a PC, and we have a PC at home, but I got my start in computers using Macs. I understand them better. They make more sense to me than PCs do. And as for the operating systems... the Mac's system looks to me more like a real operating system than the PC's Windows. In a way, it feels like Windows is basically a shell built on top of MS-DOS. I'd like to see them try to break away from the DOS environment, but it seems Windows and DOS are too entwined for that to happen.
That's why I choose Mac. Sure, it's easy to make mistakes on a Mac, but those mistakes are also easy to fix. I should know, I worked as a Mac IT tech for 9 years. =)

Thanks so much for the comments! My computer knowledge is pretty shallow, but I do know that if I mess up my Mac, I can usually fix it! Have fun with your PCs!

Macs are too hard to understand and there's no such thing as a right click button.
  • raves +1   [-] by highdesertgemini
They really aren't hard -- just a little different! There isn't a left click button, either... Thanks for the comments!

I've used my sister's MAC a few times. The only thing I understand is how to use the internet and Microsoft Word. And I'm the computer nerd of the family!

I'm not a 'puter geek, either, which is why I have a Mac, I think! Thanks for the comments!

Other than the virus thing, I really didn't notice much difference between the two. Oh, yeah, there are the easier to use and being more people friendly things! I'm really happy with mine. Thanks for the comment!

    Answered I use a Mac

I had a Compag laptop (I call him Compy :D ) before the desktop Mac I have now, and while windows has more downloadable programs than Mac, I like Mac better. It's easier to use once u get used to it and has amazing picture quality. Not to mention it's cool looking . hehe >:)
  • raves +1   [-] by highdesertgemini
The lack of compatibility still irks me, but the less exposure to viri, the better, right? I'm running a laptop -- not the really cool thin one, but it's cool all the same -- but I loved my sea blue desktop... Thanks for the comments!

I think you do very well -- and I love that you ask really good questions when you have an issue with your computer, and that you listen to the answers you get to those questions!
