Politics - United States
Do "YOU" really want this guy as President?
Johnny MCSAME has vowed to keep America at war for 100 years or more. He has fully embraced George Bush and his policies and has promised to make the Bush tax cuts permanent.Have we really thought about that?
MCSAME really has not come up with anything of his own. He has a voting record that has sided with the most unpopular President 95% of the time. Does America need a leader who is not afraid to go in a different direction or do we want the same leadership that we have been so upset about over these past 8 years?
America has basically been sold to China because of these wars and Republicans love it because this helps them " FEEL SAFE. "
We're told by Republicans that " Whether were right for going into Iraq or not we have to stay the course and win with dignity and honor."
Personally I don't think any honor will be gained after attacking a country for the wrong reasons.
We shouldn't continue down a path that both parties understand is leading us in the wrong direction.
MCSAME in my opinion represents the past and I hope we all are willing to move away from the past because times have changed and so has the world.
MCSAME has swayed whatever direction the Political winds have blown. The only issue he stands firm on is war. Once he really starts to witness how much America is opposed to making enemies instead of allies he'll flip then flop on this issue to.
I loved the way he wanted to have a fundraising event with George Bush without the media involved. He didn't want anymore photos of him and Bush taken. Another perfect example of MCSAME trying to play on both sides of the field. If your to embarrassed to be seen with the guy you shouldn't be associated with him.
GREAT WAY TO DISTANCE YOURSELF BUDDY!
Many of his supporters are bitter Democrats. Given everything that going on around us ( Gas, Gross National Debt, Health insurance, WAR, Home Forclosures, Failing Economy, Individual debt, ETC.) we really need to understand what (( MCSAME )) is bringing to the table.
It's like Hillary Clinton said in her last speech " Imagine the progress America could have made if we had a Democrat in office instead of a Republican these past 8 years."
MAAANN!!!
Just imagine....
VOTE-COMMENT-RAVE!
Thanks

Jimmie, everyone knows the first thing the Air Force does when it builds a new base is to put in the golf course.
We won't be in Iraq for 100 years, or 50, or 25 or maybe even 10. The point he was making is that there will be no timeline, that's all.
BTW, do you know how many foreign countries the military is in today.

I think McCain has been very clear that the American presence there is open ended.

U.S. assues Iraq: No permanent bases
BAGHDAD — The U.S. military said it has not demanded permanent bases in Iraq as part of a proposed long-term security agreement with the Baghdad government.
Officials said the U.S. military would also not use Iraq to launch attacks against any of its neighbors.
"There is absolutely no plan or any desire for permanent bases in Iraq," Maj. Gen. Kevin Bergner, a Multinational Force-Iraq spokesman, said.
At a June 4 news conference, Bergner sought to defuse growing tension with Iraq regarding the proposed long-term security agreement. He dismissed Iraqi assertions that Washington was refusing to limit the size or period of the proposed American troop presence. -

My suggestion is for you and all the liberals that you are friends with try and fight for your freedom next time . Or better yet go to Iraq and volunteer they need help , maybe you and your left leaning liberals can solve all the worlds problems!
I don't see you complaining about your 3 square meals a day while the troops are out protecting Dumb Ass liberals like you!
Just think I served just so stupid people like you can bad mouth our country and it's president... -
raves Jun 09, 2008 01:27AM GMTDo not bother to address the issues I raised, just spew some nonsense. Do you think you are the only one who served in the military? I served 3 years in the Army, my husband served 20 years in the Army, including service in Viet Nam, and he died from cancer that was related to Agent Orange. My father and all of my uncles served in WWII. My son served in the Army. My brother served in the Army. My nephew served in the Army, in Somalia. One of the things we all served to protect was our right to speak our opinions. I firmly believe that I have a patriotic duty to speak out when I see my government going down the wrong path.

raves Jun 09, 2008 12:11PM GMTThe only reason this country is going down the wrong path is because your liberal buddies in congress surrender before we finish the job. I for one want to wake up in a safe nation away from terrorist attacks. Thank God for the balls on George W Bush, that he does not run his presidency on the POLL'S like the liberal democrats do. Yes I had someone in my family die from Agent Orange also. It was dropped on him in Vietnam. My whole family served in the military so you don't have the market cornered. Sound to me like your bitter against our nation. The only thing you post is Bush bashing well I'm glad I fought for your right to be stupid!

Anybody remember what we said 8 years ago? the old liberal ways were not working and it's time for the change because Dems have ran things for over 60 years? Any body? Now were suppose to go back to the purple Kool aid and say it's good for us? I don't think so. No matter what GW did or didn't do OB is not the answer.
