Over the last year Colin Powell has been advising Barack Obama on foreign affairs, leaving many to speculate whether the former Secretary of State and life long Republican would join Obama's campaign team, possibly as a Vice President. What if he even picks another black vice president... Condi Rice? Al Sharpton? Louis Farakhan? Alan Keyes? Whoopi Goldberg?

To be honest I'm not aware of that many people of color who have world credit enough to pick up the slack Obama lacks. This has been an old boy's country for some time... and the only one who has played the game on a large enough scale is Powell. Rice is just as new as Obama as far as I'm concern.

I would support any candidate regardless of color if I agreed with his positions. In Obama's case, I'm not a supporter, but I don't see anything wrong with him choosing a black Vice President if he feels he is the best person for the job. -

Hell NO!!!!!!!!! But America is not ready for and all black ticket. This election has been base on race and sexism but its not about either it is without a doubt a great time in our history for both women and non white americans but the election should be about who you think is best for the job. He should pick the canidate he feel is best qualified for the job. This election has been more a beauty contest than about meeting job qualifications. -

Not crazy about Rice or Sharpton...Whoopi Goldberg is certainly not qualified....and Farakahn...that would be an outrage..And being black has nothing to do with it. It would be nice if he picked Colin Powell....but let's be real here...it is not Obama's call. The DNC will choose the VP just like they chose the nominee. -

Colin Powell as President
BO as VP
That would make more sense!!
It is not about color/race, it is about integrity, competence and judgement.
All the qualities Colin Powell has........
and BO does not. -

Well not to me and that is not the reason I will not vote for him. Any who have read my postings would know why and I grow tired of this pointless babel -

Nothing Obama does bothers me. The only thing that bothers me that when some white people are so critical of him for anyone that is black and ethnic in his life that they think he should do away with. Please people conform to a higher plane of thinking, and leave this man alone to make the right decisions we ALL need. He is shown he has the judgement. Just leave it at that.

It doesn't bother me that Obama is 1/2 black and it sure wouldn't bother me if Obama picked an ALL black VP. What bothers me is that Obama has shown a MONUMENTAL lack of judgement when it comes to the people whom he picks as his mentors and advisers. I have no expectation of him making any better choice for VP than he has with regard to the people with whom he has historically and currently surrounded himself. In other words, Obama is just as big a moron as "W" and that means the U.S. is DOOMED if Obama becomes POTUS.
