I noticed the other day that stores start selling christmas chocolates and various other things earlier every year. This year they started selling the stuff mid-september.
Personally I think it kind of ruins the spirit and the fun of christmas.

For the past couple of weeks the media in Germany has been filled with reports of people being brutally beaten to death or hospitalised as a result of them asking people to put out their cigarettes in train stations for helping someone out who was being harrassed or for just being at the wrong place at the wrong time.
The victims are being treaten like criminals, getting no benefits from the state for their families and no justice and the real criminals are still free.
Yesterday I was in a tram where a guy travelling with his wife asked two men if they could put out their cigarettes, because the smoke was disturbing him and because it is illegal to smoke in trams in Germany.
The men then started to insult him and his wife and blow smoke into their faces.
Nobody said anything, because of the recent headlines.
Do you think the man did the right thing in complaining, even if he might have been beaten up?
Or should he have stayed quiet like everyone else?<br/><br/>
