Originally from the NY/Northern NJ area, I relocated to Florida 13 years ago. Obviously, I've experienced some culture shock. It's definitely a big change from what I'm used to, and I'm still adjusting!

I'm a married mom with four cats and two kids. My husband is on Sodahead as well - http://www.sodahead.com/user/... . My son is grown and on his own, and my daughter is 10. She attends a performing arts school and will be entering 6th grade in the Fall. She is a drama major - which suits her very well!

I love to cook! My kids showed an interest from a fairly early age. It's just my daughter at home now, and it makes me very happy being in the kitchen with her.

After my daughter was born, we made the decision that I would stay home with her. It meant making some sacrifices, but we think it was worth it. Now that she is about to enter middle school, I'm looking for something worthwhile to do while drawing a salary. ;)

I used to be a relatively apolitical social liberal until the selection of 2000. That and this administration's blatant and egregious disregard for the constitution forced me into awareness and activism.
