I have never watched the DC or the NYC one...must be pretty could...they would have more money to do a grand show. I forgot to tivo Seattle's which I like to watch but I was having fun watching the ones at the lake *_* Glad you had a nice quiet night.

Glad to hear that he is doing better.
We just watched on tv. We always watch the concert from DC and then the NYC fireworks. We had a nice quiet night.
I think I would like to go next year to see them. But not here, maybe down to the jersey shore. They always have great shows there.

Dr.'s on the island are gone until Monday. Meanwhile he is fine. All swelling is gone and the burning sensation is very minimal. He keeps the eye cream on throughout the day. Did you enjoy watching your 4th? I missed the Seattle one but we had such a good show of our own around the lake....this year it was amazing...all the communities around the lake put up some good ones~!

I am praying that his eye is healing and that he gets a good report from the Dr. today.

Well the old saying around here is you come to the island to retire and die...the hospital has a lot of issues but it was too late to go to America since no ferry was running. I hope his eye will be alright too. Eyes are important tools. The swelling has gone down some but we should know more by tomorrow.

See this is why I don't like going to those things. Kids can be so dumb and the parents are no better.
I hope he is going to be ok.
    Stupid hosptial.

I was talking to a guy yesterday that said California was the worst for parents dropping off the kids and leaving. Here we have the same thing. Parents just don't care. I do and stick with mine. After the show last night I left to the car and my husband got firework stuff in his eye so next thing I know I am taking him up with this swollen eye to the ER and didn't get home until 3:00 a.m. It is still bothering him today but he can't get in to an eye dr. until tomorrow because everything is closed today and the ER doesn't like to treat eyes so he just has some cream to put on the eye until he get's in tomorrow.

It seems the older I get the less I like the crowds.
And the kids that go to these things. I think a lot of the parents drop them off and leave them there.

I don't blame you...I think there were more people this year than any other year. It was over whelming. I hate the traffic more after a show...ugh *_*

I like to watch the ones from D.C on PBS.
There is always a concert and then the fireworks.
and then we turn on the ones from NYC. We could go to those but I have no desire to fight the crowds

Enjoy your peace and quiet~!!! I'm just like a kid when ever there is fireworks so I get all excited like it's Christmas or something and got to be around the boom booms *_*
