American living "Down Under". Pithy and often amusing, and sometimes downright opinionated. I was once told by a self proclaimed Delphic Oracle that I was no one, and I was going nowhere. Well here I am going places, and being me. The journey isn't over.

I'd like to meet:

People that aren't boxed in by preconceptions and fear. Willing to finding something new every day, and not letting life get stale. Head game players need not apply.

Activities:

Photography, and I don't mean snapshots at family gatherings. I like experimenting with different object, textures and lenses. I see things differently than others do, or as a very good friend of mine said "You are a Zen photographer."

Archery, Traditional Barebow, and Horse Bows. Just me, a bendy stick, a pointy stick and a string.

Interests:

I am an amateur astronomer. Watching the march of the seasons through the changes in the night sky are amazing. The southern skies make for easier planet viewing as there are fewer stars than in the northern hemisphere,but I do miss the starry northern skies. Have also been trying my hand at astrophotography.

Favorite Music:

I enjoy listening to Mozart as much as I like listening to A Perfect Circle. Bubblegum pop tunes tend to make me grind my teeth.

Favorite TV Shows:

Intelligent television, something that makes you use your brain. Visual pablum like 'reality shows' really need to vanish into the sunset, for they are as related to reality as I am to a comet. Stargate SG1, Stargate Atlantis, Firefly, Farscape, The Dresden Files, Deadwood, CSI, West Wing, House, just to name a few.

Favorite Movies:

Classic Black and White Movies ie Casa Blanca. Also LoTR trilogy, Pirates of the Carribean. Andromeda Strain, Mame (Rosalind Russell version), Forbidden Planet, Serenity, Court Jester, Shrek. As you can see, varied to the extreme.

Favorite Books:

Thrillers, SciFi, Fantasy, Fiction, Drama, just about anything but those silly 'bodice rippers' as those are only fit for my woodstove. It's not uncommon for me to be reading 5 or more books at one time without losing plots. Here's just a few Sword of Maidens Tears, The Anubis Gate, Neuromancer, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, Lord of the Rings. Cryptonomicon, Time Enough for Love, The Moon is a Harsh Mistress.

Coretta Scot King, Betty Friedan, Katherine Hepburn, Joss Whedon, my Aunt, Richard Dawkins
