About Me
I am one among many of my kind, all distinct from me as I am from them; I came into being, was affixed to the Great Mother Church, from which I draw my nourishment, and at some future time I shall perish and become nothing again, though others like me will take my place.

And I exist in my own right and thus wish to seize all I can in the endeavor to perpetuate my own being, even at the expense of everything else and even, indeed, at the expense of God, if need be ... and so on to the bitter end. (Just kidding!)

As you can see I'm a walking contradiction ... like all human beings.

I'd like to meet:

Cher, I've been a big fan for years. I once met a drag queen who did a really great Cher but still ... it wasn't the same. I'd also like to meet Clint Eastwood. If I'd met him as a young woman I'm afraid I would have been considered unfit for the convent. (hee hee) And last but not least, I'd like to meet George Bush. And I'm sure if that ever happens I'll burn in hell forever.

Activities:

It's summertime so all I'm doing is cooking and gardening and playing on the computer. The rest of the year I'm busy shaping young minds. Oh they are so very pliable.

Interests:

Skateboarding, needpoint, politics, gardening, praying, politics, traveling, bicycling, politics, cooking, teaching, politics, and politics.

Favorite Music:

I love a good polka but all the great polka musicians seem to have have gone to their reward. I can't even find The Polka Top 40 online anymore and IPod never heard of polka!!!

Favorite TV Shows:

Well ... we're really not supposed to be watching TV buuuuuut .... I have an old black & white stashed in the garden shed and until the digital takeover my rabbit ears are working fine. I can only get 3 channels but that's enough to make me happy. There are a few of us who watch "The View" every chance we get. (Did you see Michelle Obama last week?!!!) And sometimes I manage to sneak out late to see my boy David Letterman. (I'm so glad he let his hair grow out again.)

Favorite Movies:

Oh, we're not allowed to go to the movies either buuuuut ... again, I have my ways. On Friday after visiting the sick and dying I slipped into the local moviehouse just to rest in the air-conditioned comfort for a few moments when I noticed that Mike Meyers new movie "The Love Guru" was playing. Well .... before I knew it I was caught up in the crowd rushing in to see the premier showing of this film and well ... I decided I should stay because everytime I tried to leave people started shouting "Down in front, Sister!" So of course I had to sit down ... didn't I? And the entire movie played out while I sat there. (And it was pretty funny!)
