To answer your question and the statement here.... Demolish EVERY power plant and Oil Refinery and then we will stop doing whatever damage these things provide... I personally believe that we are not having an effect that will "Destroy Earth" most of the Climate changes are due to natural changes out of our control... things like the Sun... The problem I have with GW people is they refuse to listen to the counter argument, like the administration destroyed the intelligence that stated there was no need to go to Iraq, anything that claims that man is not destroying the earth is biased and false.... Let me rephrase my original answer to you... No, nuclear Energy has less of an impact on the environment as far a carbon emmissions are concerned and as for the Disposal there are many options that are not "wait and see"...
