I disagree. I think it is arrogant of our gvt. to think that English is all we need to know. While living in Miami, FL, I learned so much about English, much more than I learned in school, simply by learning the smigeon of espanol that I did by interacting with the hispanic population. I believe it should be required to learn a foreign language(s) in order to graduate from high school AND college!! Statistics show that more people will be speaking spanish as their first language in just a matter of a decade or two. And people in Europe and Latin America learn English because they want to, not because they plan on moving here!! Even the British laugh at our English and believe it to be a bastardization of the language.-----Just one man's opinion and nothing more... Marky :o)
