BackRaves

I hold a baccalaureate in nursing which did not require learning a foreign language. Get your facts before posting. I have been to Europe and many speak English as a second language and for that I am grateful. They have no plans on moving to an English speaking country. They just happen to be more cultured than most Americans. And with your attitude, I doubt a European or Chinese, or Japanese would want to speak to you anyway. As far as my statement about our government, I am referring to the fact that it is not required to learn a foreign language in elementary school. Children easily pick up new languages until about the age of 10, maybe 12 years. After that, there is a part of the brain that significantly closes off the ability to easily learn a new language. Let's agree to disagree and be done with it. Marky :o)
