At first, President Bush was told that a plane had crashed into the WTC and everyone thought it was an accident....I believe something like that had happened before but not sure of the building. At that point there was no reason to leave. A few minutes later when a "second" plane hit the second tower, it was obvious this was no accident at that point. He stayed calm in front of the children as a good leader would before he left. Would you have rather him jump up screaming and scaring the heck out of the children?
