Between Robert Downey and Jeff Bridges' acting and Jon Favreau's directing this turned out to be a solid super-hero movie. The opening weekend box office numbers definitely reflect this.

Great ! Such a unique film for the horror genre. Stands out from many recent ones. The ending was very bleak to say the least but I can say this movie scared me which hasn't happened since I was a kid with horror movies.

This group of people have a completely different agenda compared with US citizens who would like some accountability from their government. They need to check themselves before accusing our government of war crimes even if we are guilty.

However more of the right kind of government would be good too. Probably most effective at the state level. While we're at it why not throw in some actual accountability too at the higher levels ?

America is often blamed for all the worlds problems or is praised as completely innocent. It's ironic that the US media is often obsessed with either of these extremes when it is they who are driven almost entirely by political/economic dogma to begin with. This ties back into the US (and other countries) media's lack of accountability to the people they are supposed to be informing for the benefit of the people not national and trans-national corporations and political groups. Then again the responsibility does not lie solely with them but the people that have allowed the creation of such 'monsters' in the first place.

All great movies. George comes a close second but this film is set apart from the others in more ways than one thanks alot to Daniel.

However it seems that there's much more to it than just the physical/emotional aspect that gets a lot of the focus.

I also liked Gump just because he's a 10 year old with a smoker's voice. Pretty weird.
