Bush Says He Regrets Use of Iraq `Mission Accomplished' Banner: Was the banner a wrong message?

    19 24
    Yes. No "mission" was accomplished.
The whole thing was conducted in haste. I would say from start to finish, but we are unlikely to achieve the kind of finish that he and his fellow neocons were looking for. Patriotism is a good thing but in this case it was used for the wrong reasons. Staging this event and having to change course for one of our mightiest warships just to send a message such as this is rediculous. I understand why he is known as a chicken hawk now.

GM Announcement Makes Employees Worried: How will Obama fix this?

    I know...
When he is installed as President in January there will be more than enough on his plate. I have no sympathy for the "Big Three" auto manufacturers left in the United States. They have made thier beds over the last 30 plus years and now get to sleep in them. As for the employees I think they need a fair shake at a comparable job or even better. Perhaps Obama can deal with the auto manufacturers and gain a stake for us tax payers such as stock or interest in thier companies to be paid back at some time in the future that they become profitable again. Survival of the fittest is the entrapanuerial ideal is it not? There are lots of start up car companies out there that just need some capitol to get going. If the current dynosaur mfg's can't cut it let us support the new ideas of these newer greener outfits.Lot's of new jobs there.

No. Spending $150K in two months on clothing is ridiculous.
Most of us have probably not spent that much on clothing in our lives, but that is beside the point. She has every right to spend the money if she see's fit to do so. Too bad it was money that Joe donated to thier campaign. She is a nice looking lady, but apperently cannot afford to spend her own money on such finery. Speaking of butts, now Joe's is hanging out............................

    Neither
John is just another in a long line of Politicians that are in line for the highest office in the land. His time has run out and he is pulling out all the stops to curry favor where he can. Too bad eight years ago he was much more respected by everyone before he sold his soul to the Neocons and hitched his wagon to W. I will never forgive him for allowing George Bush to do to him what he is trying to do to Barack. It is a sad thing to watch. He knows he cannot win on the issues and the choices he has made in the past so what is left besides diversion and the long bomb? I am still waiting for the October surprise. I just hope that nobody is seriously harmed.

Barack Obama's race is irrelevant in my view of him as a presidential candidate.
It is too bad that we have not come very far since Dr. King gave his life for the cause. There is still plenty of hate out there across this land. I hope someday we can get everyone together and pull in the same direction. After all we all want the same things out of this life don't we?

Yes. Each email size is 10k average, that estimates 100 gigs of of E-mail which anyone can back up on a hard drive and I am pretty sure they have. Someone is trying to hide something here!
Yaa think? The only question is does it matter to those who voted for him twice, and will anyone do anything about it. There should be a consequence somewhere in this world.

Would Barack Obama prosecute the Bush Administration?

Why do we require an administration to do this? Why can't US citizens pursue this in court?
I think we need to convince Congress and the Senate that we demand that these matters be looked into and if necessary prosecuted. After the election may be wise due to too many distractions but it needs to be done sooner rather than later. How else will we ever regain any respect in the rest of the world? It would mean that a great many folks in Washngton DC would either have to find or grow a pair though.

Yes. This astronaut isn't lying, the government is hiding alien contact.
One needs to ask ones self. Has my government ever hidden anything from us before? I think the chances are more than good that there is some substance to this issue. I am not sure why we cannot persue the truth about it but many things have been claimed to be related to national security in the past. What do we have to lose. Should we be afraid of contact? Hell they might even be able to help us with alternate sources of energy!

OPEC and Big Oil - conspiring together so that they can rake in even bigger, record-breaking profits this year than ever before.
The so called seven sisters that control (notice I did not say own) all the oil reserves in this world will hold back drilling on land that they already have under lease until the last dog is hung so that they can make more money from it. In the meanwhile they are busy buying oil shale and coal reserves so that they can be in the the ground floor of those resources too. It is my hope that the native americans that own most of the land involved bend the oil companies over just like the sisters have done to us as consumers. Alternate fuels seems like an absolute no brainer to me. The sooner we start the better. Then we don't have to call each other names like lib and neocon, we can get on with our lives. How cool would that be?
