Like most partisan Dems, I'm angry at Lieberman and wanted him punished. However, I understand why Obama said he should continue to caucus with the Dems -- he will be needed, and that's all there is to that. Lieberman reminds me of what we used to call a Cold War liberal -- he's good on many, many issues, just not on war in the Middle East. But I wouldn't actually call this an example of bipartisanship; it's more an example of working for a cloture-number.

Well, I knew someone -- my former daughter-in-law (son's first wife) was one. My poor kid woke up one morning to find a note on his pillow -- she admitted to having fraudulently gotten money from a number of sources, said people were now after her, telling him she just had to leave. He never saw her again, although they did talk on the phone once, long after he got a divorce on the grounds of abandonment or some such. She was truly awful -- a sociopath who fooled everyone into thinking she was a decent human being rather than a monster.
