Rush Lobotomy says the Powell's endorsement of Barack Obama is about race... Do you agree?

    47 53
No, Powell is way better than doing something racist like that It's Lobotomy that is racist.
Powell gave convincing rationale of why he is going to vote for Obama. He mentioned Obama's intellect, and McCain's selection of Palin, as well as his own displeasure with the current approach of the Republican party. He never mentioned race as a reason.

    33 61
No Barack still has a lot of work to do if he wants to make it to the White House.
It's not a game changer, but I consider it more as a point booster. I think the reasons that Powell gave for his endorsement are what will really sting McCain & Palin. Powell gave a stinging rebuke of the current approach offered by his own party. He explained why, as a moderate Republican, he believes Obama is better fit to lead the country- and he explained it convincingly.

Yes this has happened to me!
As winter fast approaches, It is getting colder, and demand is growing for something to keep the house warm and cozy. Whenever my democrat friends run out of newspaper for the fireplace, they come to my house asking where they can get McCain/ Palin signs. I try to tell them no, but they just keep coming. I guess it's just their love for the Republican ticket, you see it all over the country.

hahaha I had to pick this answer. Hillarious. The problem is, when I think about the possibility of Palin actually becoming VP or President, it's not funny anymore.

    Palin got to first base.
with a bunt :). Palin didn't fall flat on her face, but she lost the debate. Biden performed better than her, but she proved that she could give a coherent scripted answer. She did not, however, prove that she is ready to be VP.

    No
Thank you for posting this. I had not seen the interview. To answer the question: no, of course Palin is not ready to lead our country in any way. After seeing this interview, I am deeply disturbed that McCain thought that she was a good selection as his VP running mate- it shows poor judgment on his part and leads me to believe that he put politics over the bests interests of the country. Ill say this: despite what some would have us think, Palin is no Clinton. In fact, the comparison is laughable.

John McCain talked to the women of The View: What do you think?

    57 81
    None of the above
McCain was obviously trying to weasel his way out of answering the Roe V Wade question. The View has a lot of women viewers, and McCain didn't want to say what he really believes- that women should not have the right to choose and that if he is elected President Roe V Wade will be overturned. I thought the women of The View were tough with there questions, but I also thought that McCain was very evasive and disingenuous with his answers.

Many people think that Palin is just enough of a democratic distraction that she can win the election for McCain! They say he can't win it with out her! They say he can only win by using a huge distraction like Palin to do so. Do you think this is true?

    76 167
It don't matter if Palin has McCain as a running mate or not! Obama is going to win anyways!
hmmm I'll side with President Clinton on this one. What was it that he said today? Oh yeah, "I predict that Sen. Obama will win and win handily." Well if the former President isn't worried, and if the Obama camp isn't worried, then I see no need to panic. It is true Palin helps McCain right now. She serves both as a distraction and as a draw for certain demographics (before people get to know who she truly is.) But I also think that people need to take a deep breathe- as things settle down, and we get back to the issues, Obama will likely regain the lead.

Does Michael Vick Deserve a Second Chance?

Does Michael Vick Deserve a Second Chance?

    9 14
    Yes. He Deserves It!
I think so. What he did was horrible, but he has now been punished for that. Should we condemn him for his whole life because of the mistakes that he made in the past? Don't people deserve a second chance if they have truly repented? And here's another question for you: Is what Michael Vick did any worse than what hundreds of people do everyday? What about the people who raise Pigs and Chickens in absolutely horrible conditions, cutting off body parts like beaks and tails when they are young, only to slaughter them after they are fat enough? What about the people who do similar things to cattle, or the people who hunt animals just for fun? Is Vick any worse than them? Do we condemn those people for life? No, the reality is most of us buy their products and encourage their methods.
