Even after having lived in the States for nearly 30 years, I still have a British accent and at times it is vastly more pronounced than at other times. I did not see anything artificial in Gov. Palin's accent.

I am also annoyed by the number of people who say "I've got...," "We've got..." and "You've got..." The next time you hear someone say "I've got to get to work." remind yourself they are actually saying "I have got to get to work." and they should be saying "I have to get work."

It violates voting regulations for anyone to campaign within a certain distance of a polling place. Wearing anything showing support for a candidate has always been considered campaigning for a candidate. The election judge did the right thing. If people do not like the law then the people should contact their representatives and change the laws.

I have always kept a log of every credit card purchase I make throughout the month so I never charge more than I can repay at the end of the month. Interest is what financially enslaves people and keeps them on the treadmill of being able to just barely make it each month.
