yes if you buy a car with a lot mileage and out of warranty,however a car no more than two years old and some balance of warranty left is a good prospect since the depreciation has reduced the value,sometimes, by as mush as 50%.Carfax is a good source for tracking the repair history ,but I would buy only from a dealer I know.Last new car I bought was eleven years ago but only because it was an exotic and a relative works there.I would never buy a car with over 50,000 miles,serviced or not.

That's how we were taught, doesn't seem to be the case nowadays.This crisis is partially due to irresponsable purchases,I see it all around me.I lost some serious money in the equity markets in the last month or so(paper loss) ,maybe we sholud go back to basics and try to live within our means,I think we'll be allright after the elections.I don't feel sorry for people who can't count,but I do appreciate their enthusiasm.
