I might throw some roses to him (not at him). I would (and do) throw my full support, just as I will to the next President. We The People of the United States elected President Bush. Regardless of the bad press and pure bull being spread about him, he is a good President and has fulfilled his duties to support and defend the Constitution of the United States. He did not take an oath to make people happy, nor did he take the job so the press can decide our national policy. For the record, weapons of mass destruction (WMD) including biological agents were found in Iraq ... there was no lie. The vast majority of the politicians who cut President Bush daily also voted for the war and supported the attack on Iraq 100%, including Senator Clinton and Senator Reid. President Elect Obama says he voted against the war, but he wasn't even a Senator at that time, so how could he? He also says he didn't have anything to do with selling his Senate seat, even though his Chief of Staff had a different spin on that subject last month. Even though Obama is an untrustworth piece of crap, I will support him as long as he is in office, but I will also do everything legally possible to ensure he is out of office at the earliest time.

I have been around for a lot of years; even during the Nixon presidency. In all that time, I have never heard a slicker and more deceatful politician than Barack Obama. This guy doesn't even use the right name, "Barry". On top of all this, he is now in the middle of the criminal intent to sell his Senate seat for bribes. He said he hadn't talked to the governor, but 2 weeks ago, his Chief of Staff said Obama had been in contact with the governor about the right person for the job. I guess the right person is the one with the most cask!

What has the Unions in the private sector done for you if anything?

    12 18
Unions are out dated and no longer needed.
Unions changed the face of American labor; they put workers rights about owners rights and brought prosperity to working class Americans. Over the past 30 years, Unions have changed into a perverted mafia interested in political goals and huge money for leaders. In the vast majority of businesses, the unions would be voted down if they didnt' ride roughshod over their members, just like the bosses did before the union.

    This is a crime.
Many think this is an isolated case, but it is not. Personal records are accessed very often for personal and political reasons, especially during elections. Police officers often use restricted information in personal issues including divorce and child custody/support cases, both for themselves and for friends. There are thousands of cases of child welfare and criminal investigations without merit for personal reasons and we are powerless to do anything about it. Why do I say powerless? Because it is virtually impossible for citizens to get access to records showing they were improperly investigated or their information was improperly accessed. If a child is involved, there are federal and state privacy laws that prevent parents from access to records but allow state workers access which very often leads to illegal release of confidential records. The same goes for your medical records which are regularly released by doctors offices without your authorization while you can't get the same information! Our country is becoming a socialist police state right under our noses and the majority of Americans either don't see it or just don't care.

Are people inherently good, while man made objects evil?

    38 122
People start with evil thoughts then follow through with those thoughts.
The heart is the beginning of all sin, not just violent acts. All those items listed were intended for good, and most p;eople use them for good. Guns hunt food and protect homes. Knives are used in just about every area of our lives, and computers have the ability to link people together to share knowledge. All these man made objects (and just about any other thing) can be used for evil. Drunks drive cars but we don't want to ban cars. Adicts use drugs but we don't advocate destroying the entire pharmacutical industry. Electricity is very dangerous, but we sure enjoy turning on the lights. The bottom line: People kill people; people rob people, people drive drunk ... get the picture.

What has been the most ridicules statement you have read, heard or seen since the results of the election?

    8 25
    Heard this it shocked me!
There are so many people with such negative attitude. Attacks by John McCain's staff against Sarah Palin were shocking. Mr. Obama saying we are facing the greatest financial crisis is just a "wow, I didn't know that" statement. What I find incredible are the racist attitudes on all sides. Geraldo Rivera said Oprah was a "transracist". What the heck is a transracist? The only celebrity I know who tried to change races is Oprah's friend, Michael Jackson. Oprah is a horrid racist, meaning she sees a great difference in people because of the color of their skin. Rivera is obviously a racist for the same reason. In my community, the racial divide is spreading and I believe violence will erupt soon. The anger is frightening. I swore an oath and have lived that oath for all my adult life; to support and defend the Constitution of the United States is my mission. I do not support the Congress or the President, nor do I support the Supreme Court. I do support the Constitutional requirement for these to exist. If not, this country will fall from within. I do believe that Senator Joe Biden was warning America when he said Obama would be tested within the first 6 months. I know Joe Biden and he doesn’t make mistakes; he uses what others believe are mistakes to slip the truth in. I believe soon to be President Obama will declare Martial Law and try to disarm America “for the good of the country”, and if that happens, there will be civil war. Which side will I be on? The side of the Constitution, period.

Sex Offender E-Mail Registry: Will John McCain's bill help stop sex offenders?

I think the Sexual Predators Act of 2008...
This is a good effort and the vast majority of registered sex offenders actually follow the rules. The problem is that the ones who don't follow the rules also actively find ways to contact children. This law is similar to registering guns. I can legally own a gun and will always register guns, but criminals usually don't follow the law, so registration laws simply keep the honest honest, just like this sex offender law.

I am not surprised, especially that these were skin heads. What I am surprised in is the Obama camp trying to associate John McCain with the plot! These were 2 stupid haters, but they are probably not the only haters who will try again and again. For some it is racial; for others it is fear. Killing Obama will not change anything, but that won't change those who use the fear spread by Obama against him.

    Yes. I better be prepared.
If you haven't noticed, there are a lot of angry people now. Americans will not stand idle while Obama turns on Israel in favor of terrorists. He has a long association with Middle Eastern terrorists including Al Queda and the PLO, both strong supporters. There is strong evidence Obama is receiving millions of dollars from the PLO and Syria which will not be proven for an estimated 2 years. By that time, I believe the free press will be a thing of the past and civil war will either be brewing or be in full swing. Obama will get his wish ... the destruction of America as the founding fathers saw it and the creation of Obamanation.

    101 343
No thanks Barry, the constitution says you keep your hands off my guns and I agree with the constitution
First, "Barry" Obama is not running for president, it's Barack. There is very good reason to have an assault weapon to protect my home, just as there is good reason to have a hunting rifle with scope, shotgun, and handgun. Joe Biden said there will be a test during Obama's 1st 6 months and the American people aren't going to like it. Based on Obama's policy and left wing liberal bias, I believe he will circumvent the Constitution and the courts by declaring martial law and try to take our guns by force. This will certainly result in either a successful coup or civil war. Either way, I need my guns to defend my family against all enemies, foreign and domestic.

Has this happen to you yet? Democrats stopping at your house asking where they can get a McCain / Palin sign like yours?

    None of the above
No, but if they did, I would politely tell them to visit the local Republican committee office. There is nothing wrong with this from either side and I frankly don't understand the question. As for the statement, I agree with the neighbor. I'm not scared of Obama's tax plan, but I sure don't want it to go through. When business has additional expense, the response is to raise the price of the goods to meet the cost increase (usually with a little extra if the market will accept it). A good example is the cost of groceries and household goods soaring to adjust to higher fuel and transportation costs. If any business has to pay 30% higher taxes, the cost will come back to the consumer to pay. This is a good example: milk producer has 30% higher taxes and increases the price of milk to cover the additional cost. Other businesses we use raise the price of their goods and services to cover their higher milk cost. YOU, THE CONSUMER pay your taxes plus the added cost of milk. Do you really think Obama will cut your taxes enough to cover the higher prices you will pay on all goods and services? Can you survive on a .65% cut in taxes and a 12+ % increase in consumer prices on top of the already crippling economy? If you can, please vote for Senator Obama. If not, use your brain for more than a weight to keep your head balanced and vote for Senator McCain.

Third & Final Debate: Is It Game Over?

    2,439 4,095
    We won't know until Novermber 4th, 2008.
Regardless of who wins, the United States is closing in on game over for our country. The actions by the Supreme Court today are final evidence in the democracy test in America, and we loose. This country is the laughing stock of the world. In years past, brave Americans have faught and died to protect freedom and ensure free and fair elections; something we can't get in our own country. At this point, the election has become a side bar. The real action I am afraid will be the violence that will surely fill the streets of our great land and reduce this nation to less than the level of Iran. I swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic. There are millions of others like me who took the same oath and I am sure there are many who will read this who are among this honored group. Consider your oath ladies and gentlemen and stand for the Constitution when is gets ugly regardless of your political affiliation. Game over --- I sure hope not.

Is morality in a society relative or absolute?

Is morality in a society relative or absolute?

    46 237
If it was wrong a hundred years ago, is still wrong today.
What is right for one society might be different from another group in society, but the truth remains the truth. In many 3rd world nations, tribal society has very different moral values than developed nations. Likewise, developed nations have vastly different moral standards. An example is the conflict between European Union nations and the United States. To list a company on the US Stock Exchange, the company must release considerable personal information on top employees and company information. The information allows our government to watch for illegal activities. Some of the information required violates EU privacy laws. Both are developed nations with Judeo-Christian roots, but each society has developed different ideals. Likewise, showing certain parts of the human body on TV in the US is illegal, but in Europe, seeing frontal full nude shots of both sexes is normal. In the Southern US, morality has much easier to understand than in places like San Francisco, where anything goes. Trust me, if two men clad in black leather were walking down the street, on on hands and knees and on a dog leash, there would be an arrest and confiction. The good news is that if the police take care of it first, there is much less blood shed!

I knew they had these deep ties together.
Obama has more skeletons in his closet than these and they will surface. He plays so soft and kind; totally against his true nature. He finances these organizations and others, some of which have ties to terrorist organizations. What portion of campaign money is financing terror at home and abroad might never be known, but it isn’t hard to find the CSI money is it? Radical socialist is too kind for Barack Obama. He is cut of the same mold as Joseph Stalin and just as dangerous. Like so many in Congress, he jumps at the opportunity to take money from the government and from private individuals and organizations and funnel it into radical organization. Some think Obama is a Muslim; others say he is a Christian. Read 1 John 4 and find the truth. Obama does believe in God (Just as Satin believes and knows) but he denies the true nature of Jesus Christ. Obama is religious, but he lacks substance and truth. He is a prime example of the spirit of antichrist, alive and well on the campaign trail. He continues to say he should be viewed as an epiphany (a god or supernatural being). He can say that because Jesus Christ, in his view, was a good example and a great profit, but not the true Son of God.

Those that are supporting or opposing the candidate because of race, are the racist.
Race is not the only bad issue in this election year. The Obama campaign is the only side talking about race, and Obama has personally used the race card in both the Democratic primary and the current Presidential race. Obama has also used gender to his advantage by attacking women. He calls them "sweety" and was very disrespectful toward HRC and now continues to use the gender card on Gov. Palin. The news media and other politicians aren't much better, constantly refering to Gov. Palin as "that woman".

Should pregnant teens have to tell their parents that they are getting an abortion?

    1,939 1,801
    Yes.
There are too many "what if's" in the question to answer individually. The abortion industry (and it is a high profit industry) has taken away many generations of scientists, doctors, lawyers, and good honest working people. They do this to make a profit, not because they care about the woman or the child. Politicians who favor abortion (Democrats come to mind) promote the death of generations of minorities they claim to protect. Those who survive their barbaric attack are pushed into poverty with rules which limit coming out of the gheto and moving up in the world. What single mom can take a job and subsequently loose Madicade coverage for her children? She is forced to either take the risk without insurance until she gets insurance from work or stay in the projects and live off welfare. Generation after generation listen to these forked tongued devils say how much they care about the poor while keeping them poor and under their thumb. In the project with no job, too many girls are victims of rape by young men who don't have anything to do but get in trouble, by fathers who can't afford to get a job and have turned to a lifetime of suffering; and these girls are then targeted by the abortion industry to kill their children. It is sad and getting worse.
