Hire them for what? High school guidance counselor? With some local high schools at a 50% drop out rate, it might really help. I wouldn't automatically turn them down for a past in adult films, and many have gone on to direct. Afaik 1 or 2 have started their own adult film companies. So they get to do what they want, not do what they don't want to do, and decide how much money to make. Can you say that in your current job? *grin* Besides -- I used to work in retail. Working in retail is different than adult films. You still get f***** over, you just don't get to enjoy it. *grin*

Oh heck no! I have a MySpace with a small amount of personal information so friends I've lost touch with can look me up if they want to. So private "sites" don't make sense to me. I put things on my page that won't come back to haunt me if they were viewed by my parent, child, coworkers, potential future employers, etc. Maybe I'm old fashioned in that I don't want images on the web of myself passed out drunk, waving a "gat", or any evidence that can be used against me in a court of law, but then how many people remember when they added pictures to the World Wide Web? *grin* Also there isn't much to connect my account here with my account there. Which is why I prefer to annoy people here. *grin*

Nobody makes one sided polls to make you mad, Tommy, that would mean that they cared how you or I feel. Generally the purpose of those polls is to hide an ugly or unpopular idea, in my opinion, or to make an attack on people trying to do the right thing. It shows a lack of empathy and understanding, which is overcompensated by an excess of bigotry and ignorance. But creating a poll to make us mad? No, they don't like us enough for that. *grin*

My answer is "sort of". Let all unions be civil unions that people want to be recognized by the State, let those who want a religious marriage have that available for them as well. I feel the Church has no business telling the State that gays can't have civil unions, and the State shouldn't impose sanctions on the Church if it chooses to not include gays in it's congregation. There are enough states and enough churches to make everyone happy. *grin*

Animals and people have a slightly different biology. What works on some species may not on others. I wish them the very best of luck, and I think whatever the final outcome for them this is a huge breakthrough in medicine. Perhaps even if it doesn't work, it will lead to something that will. And if they found a way to find the chink in a virus's armor, could the cure for the common cold be too outlandish?
