People first response is always "get a job" but sometimes its not that simple. Thats why there are laws to ensure that when you collect unemployment you have to continue to search for employment. There are many reasons why the unemploymnet rate is so high, and its not due to lazy Americans who don't to work. That percentage is much smaller. Simple minded Bush has no clue sometimes on how the world works.

All of the generals are "yes" men to the president and will say what he wants the american people to hear. The last one that spoke the truth is no longer working..... So anything out of petraeus's mouth is propaganda. No one has any right answer to the problems facing us and the people in iraq. The currant admin. has screwed it up so much that the middle east will be in chaos for many years. It was more stable before the war and so was our Economy. Not to mention all of the lost lives on both sides.....

Is it right the California supreme court, with a vote of 4 to 3 should wipe out the ban on same sex marriages? This to me says why vote when they can just overturn what 61% wants.?

Sometimes judges do it better than voters, sometimes its the other way around... I think in this case it doesn't effect anybody but the people that are gay so if 61% of Califonia's population is gay then hey you may have a point. Also its about rights. People have the right to choose alot of things in America. Why don't they have a right to choose who they want to be married to?
