I moved out 2 weeks after my high school graduation. I was ready to go, my dad's a big believer in independence so I had been doing my own washing since 12, working since 15, managing my own finances since 16 and was ready to go with a unit and job lined up in the next state. Some of my friends didnt have quite as smooth transition, but we were all out within 4 months. If your an adult, its time to live your own life.

I pretend to be asleep until I wake up in the morning. Honestly it works, remember pretending to be asleep as a kid? Just do that. If construction or road noises are annoying me I put some quiet music on first.

I dont use a picture of myself as my avatar, but I do have a couple on my profile. I'm slightly above average height, slim build, long brown hair, freckles. I think I am 'cute' rather than 'hot' or 'beautiful'. I also look younger than I am, and this isnt helped by the fact my pictures are all a year or 2 old, and I have been told I may not be taken seriously because of this.

Particularly if they are in a small jar with a label and a serving suggestion. As for foraging and finding my own food, I can identify some herbs and berries and fruit, but i certainly couldnt live in the wild.

Its a chicken when it hatches. However anyone who has cracked an egg which spent too long in the nest will know that that blood filled yolk with a tiny chick inside definitely shouldn't be in your fry pan.

I will always choose freshly picked/laid food that hasn't been sprayed with chemicals and traveled heaps of kilometres, where I can. However if the eggs were poor quality, weren't free range, or were more expensive, then I may revert back to the supermarket.

Why all the hate against the homeless?! Not only is voting in your country voluntary, but you also prevent so many people from participating even if they wanted to. The poor and homeless are citizens the same as everyone else and as citizens they have the right to contribute to decisions that effect them, in the form of the election, surely?

As an atheist I would have no objections to a non-believer. However for this to apply to me, I probably need to flip it. And the truth is Yes if my friend was passionately fundamentally Christian I would treat them different. I would question why they don't treat me differently, knowing that I don't conform to what they consider to be 'acceptable'. My boyfriend is strongly Catholic, and I cant deny that it makes me uncomfortable, however other than the occasional intellectual debate it doesn't influence our relationship.

I'm slim, some would say skinny but I have put on weight in the last year and now weigh 59kg, at 170cm tall. I know that probably doesnt mean much to you, just as lb's mean nothing to me. My BMI is 20 (20-25 being the ideal weight range). I hate the 'real women have curves' slogan, I'm not curvy but I'm certainly real, I dont diet, I'm just lucky to have a good metabolism. It isnt just America that makes people feel bad for their size, Australia, Brittain and I suspect many other nations do too.

My father is the intellectual quiet kind. He is wonderful. Very stable and trustworthy, sometimes a bit distant and certainly not the huggy type, but we know he loves us.

Small latte with 3 sugars. Coffee really buzzes me and I havent developed the hardcoreness to handle anything more powerful. PS for all of the 'with cream' responses, do they mean actual cream? Is this an American thing?

Sometimes I wish I didnt, and its not strictly necessary because I'm on the pill, but I do. The initial hassle is counteracted by having less messy hassle afterwards. I am thankful for the thinner 'natural feel' type though.

Fashions, however stupid, are a way of self expression. Yes its hardly classy, but you cant just slap a law down and expect everyone to develop taste and class. If I'm wearing a singlet top, isnt it more decent see the occasional peep of a bra strap, then to be able to see that no bra is being worn at all?

Your daughter does effect my life. I hope with people increasingly able to be honest about their sexuality, and being able to show to others that it is nothing to fear, that family by family and friend by friend acceptance of homosexuality will increase. I hope people become more open minded, gays become more comfortable expressing themselves and that people will come understand that they deserve the same rights to be recognised as a couple and have a family. Your daughter and her family, as one amongst many, will help change the lives of gays around the world.

I dont believe in it in a spiritual/religious way. But I think if you do nice things for people they will be more inclined to do nice things for you and you will be happier. I dont however believe everything we encounter is the payback of a previous deed, or that people who are suffering are getting just rewards (tell that to young cancer patients).
