I do not see why two gay people can not get married. I hate the fact that this is actually an issue. It should be no issue in todays world. They are no different then you or me, they bleed, feel pain, love, happiness and sadness just like all the rest of us. To tell them that they can not marry just because some people do not agree is wrong. And the slippery slope idea I do not understand. You can not marry an animal, it is not a human, it can not consent, and it is no way shape or form like gay marriage. Gay marriage is between two PEOPLE that love each other and BOTH consent to that life style. Marrying a cat or a dog is not an EQUAL union between two CONSENTING parties. So I dont see how that is a valid point, but if thats what you believe im not going to tell you otherwise. Im not posting here to change peoples views, or argue with whos right and whos wrong. We are all entitled to believe what we wish, thats the great thing about this country, and I believe that gays should be able to marry and lead normal lives like the rest of us "normal" straight people. If you view this country as it should, as a seperation of church and state, your relgious views cannot come into conflict with what the state defines as marriage. Is it not like our struggle against the british for fair taxtation? These are people who live just like any married couple, but are being treated as second class citizens because of their lifestyle. Is this not against the law in our country? Should this community not be able to claim the same rights as any citizen? Remeber the uproars about neo-nazi parades? Yet they were able to do that as an exercise of their rights. How is this situation any different then citizens trying to claim their legal rights? Do I myself agree with the way this part of our society chooses to live their lives? No, I do not care for it at all. But do I believe in their right to live this way? Yes I do. It may go against my morals, but these people have a legitable claim of their rights. Were we not seeking out this land to escape unjust religious views that called for the execution of people for their religious views? Is that not what we are doing to this side of our own community?

I am an atheist and I do not think of myself as being any smarter then a person who follows a religion, and vise versa. Intelligence has nothing to do with what you chose to believe in, its all based on how you see the world. Do you see the world through a logical point of view, where everything can be explained with numbers and hard evidence, or do you approach it with the view of miracles and a higher purpose of some sort. Either way it does not take a higher sense of intelligence or education to see any point of view.

Im in between both parties. I agree with a lot on the conservative side, but at the same time have major problems with some of the conservative views. Same with the Liberal side. So I dont know what you would call that exactly, if it is even a party.

I believe that you are born gay or straight. Dont ask me for proof, or sources, because frankly, I cant give them to you. I have always known that I was straight, it was just something I know. I know that I did not chose to be that, its just what I am, and I have a very close friend that just knew that he was gay. From the a very young age, he could feel something was wrong, that he was different, and when he got old enough he realized why. Now the people that randomly change form gay, then straight, then back to gay, I think are choosing or just very confused. I do believe that you can be BI because Love really does not know any gender. But the people that just go back and forth like no tomorrow, I think just like the attention.

I like this poll, im glad there is a poll that not bashing either side, and for that congrats ^_^ Okay for me, I have no religion, but I am not and atheist either. I honestly dont know what I am, but I do know I do not believe in a God that created us all, or that preform miracles for people. I can not explain how a miracles happen, because they are miracles, the unexplainable, I can in no way say that I know an entity higher then me made this happen, and I can not say one did not. ((Sorry if im confusing lol)) I guess what im trying to say is that I believe that they just happen, it like a game of chance. I could walk down the street and get hit by a car and die. Sad, and in all ways unfair, but it happens. The same as at the last minute a medical miracle happens and someones life is saved. Totally random. I dont think someone controls this, I believe that all events just happened to line up just right and made something unexpected happen.

I think my comment will be pretty long...sorry, but I feel strongly about this topic. No it is not wrong to be gay. Just because a book says so does not make it correct. ((Ever hear of dont believe everything you read?)) Im not knocking anyones religion, but im just saying I can not understand how you could feel soo much hate and discontent towards someone just because they love in a different way the yourself. AND even if the bible is correct, and God truely does not like gays, and they will burn forever in hell ((really loving guy no?)) why does that bother you! It is their choice if they follow that life style! Its not you that is sinning, it is them! Leave them alone! You can not control how another person feels or expresses there love, so leave them be. They are not inhuman, or un-natural, they are people, just trying to make there way through this life.

Im really not sure, I mean they have to approve it, but people get married but never get the license. So there married in there eyes, just not the government's eyes ((so no tax brakes, benefits, etc.)). But what I dont understand is, if the government approves the marriage license, and there is a separation of church and state... Why is there a problem with gay marriage?

I would feel soo bad if I let my family member waste away in a hospital bed, while all they wanted was to die. If it is something that can be fixed, and they will get better, then no I would never agree to it. But a terminally ill person cant not be fixed, and they waste away to nothing, in soo much pain in there final months. Its there body, its there choice,((as much as people might not like it)) It is their life. They have the right to decide how they want to die, and if they would like assisted suicide.

Whatever Im not voting for him ((partly being that I dont turn 18 unitll after the election-lol)) But mostly because I dont agree with his plans ((what are his plans? change? whats that?)) It has nothing to do with race, if he was someone that I could agree with, and I understood what his changes were then he would have my support. I dont chose who I follow by what color they are, but by the choices they make, the people they surround themselves with, and if they are adressing the real issues of the country.

I do not know why they did that. I know for a fact that in the Ancient Egyptian religion that women were equal in all matters. They were priestess, wrote scripture and preformed ceremonies in temples and lead prayer. Egyptians also had goddesses that were in some cases more powerful then the male Gods. Egyptians saw that in order for man to exist they need women. The same applied for the Gods, they needed a mother in order to exist. Thus the equality, one can not exist without the other. Women also ruled as Pharaoh a few times, many many years before a lone women monarch was accepted.
