Higher taxes on the filthy rich AND making proper cuts in spending is a must. The borders and coasts DO need guarded better to keep out illegals, terrorists and drug trafficers, but Bush was under pressure from those that hire illegals to ignore the problem. My main concern is that Obama don't get us in over our heads in the mid-east. He talks about going after bin Laden, but I'm not sure he had anything to do with 9/11.

It's terrible how many people{ like Palin } do not keep up with politics...millions do not even vote, yet they can see that the last 8 years have been a disaster. Only the rich and greedy, or the very ignorant would deny that simple truth. So, even though many do not have great knowlege of how our government " works ", they realize we needed a change. About 9 million more voters voted for The Chosen One, and it will prove to be the right choice. Remember the good old days of the Clinton administration when the only thing you had to worry about was the Monica " crisis " ? Remember when Bush was asked by 60 Minutes if he cared that three fourths of Americans said he was lame, and he smirked and said " not really " ? He didn't care because he already won his 2nd term, mainly because many had not yet figured out he scammed us on the Iraq war...so they decided to give him the benifit of the doubt and not change horses mid-stream. How's that working out for you ?

During negotiations, there are people on BOTH sides of the table....GM agrees to union terms because they are making money. Sure, some quarters they lose money, but most of the time they profit. Bush and congress have been spending like drunken sailors on shore leave for the last 8 years, and that deficit spending has made the dollar almost worthless, and along with NAFTA not being modified, has hurt all manufacturing in this country....and without good jobs, how can people buy cars and make house payments ? We need a health care system to take some of the burden off of manufacturers, along with taffifs on stuff imported into our country....and obviously we have to cut spending. Maybe Obama can straighten out the country with the help of congress....
