I overheard a CBS interview during last nights election and they compared Obama to Jefferson and Madison and said he was of the same material.Does anyone really believe this?

I am so sick of these stupid, ridiculous, assanign "creative teaching" techniques. Whatever happened to reading, writing and arithmetic? All the stupid cr*p that is being done in the name of "education" is doing nothing but making our kids think life is a total game, costing ridiculous amounts of monies for the school districts, and allowing the teachers to pass some of the least-educated imbiciles from one grade to another and the are unable to read 1st and 2nd grade levels when they graduate from high school -- This is stupid!

Candidates are scrutinized. Every piece of their lives are dissected, both personal and political. They are accused of things and forced to prove they are rumor. Why then was Obama given a pass on so many things?

Dunno. Dunno if there will ever be a third-party candidate that can pull enough support to make it worth the while. There have been third-party candidates included in debates, such as Ross Perot. Ralph Nader was thought of as vaiable enough in a couple of his runs to be included in earlier debates. But then they just fizzle out. Their platform will have to be very strong and not radical before a third party will be thought of as authentic candidates.

If Obama has his way, we should all have the same amount! That's the plan..... Take from those who have, give to those who have not, so those who work their arses off to make what they get will be supplying for those who sit on their arses and don't try..... Eventually, everyone will be a pauper! Look at the history of Italy when Mussalini was in power. When it first started, they gave all the people new shoes, everyone had milk in their ice boxes, everyone had a couple of new outfits, it was all great and wonderful -- For a time, anyway. Then, as my older friend told me, there were no new shoes issued to him, and he went to school in shoes that were one size too small, and his pant legs were too short, because he had grown and no new school clothes were issued.... The milk stopped being delivered every day. The ice boxes had no ice -- Then he tells the stories of how the sirens would whail and he would have to carry his elderly, handicapped grandmother into the bomb shelters when the war began.... They had to get into the war, because people were starving. Mussalini had screwed them over big, and they really had no army -- Hmmmmm.... Sounds familiar to me. Cut the military budget. Give everybody an equal share. I'll never forget old Frank's story he told me. I was a grown woman when he told me the story, and he was a retired old man, but it brought tears to my eyes! He was smuggled over to America, alone, with no one to help him. He came over and registered (so to speak) at Ellis Island, with so many others. If people could have heard his story and compared it to the platform that good ole "Barry" has been reciting, the similarities are absolutely terrifying!

I will certainly congratulate John McCain and Sarah Palin if they should win this election. I will be hard pressed to congratulate Obama and Biden. I will, of course, suck it up and respect them as the president and vice president, but I will be too frightened for the future of America to honestly give congrats to them.

Racism is unacceptable, no matter what color the person is!!!!! Intimidating "white" people is no better than what those black panthers have been accusing white people of doing to them. This election has caused racism to back about 100 steps backwards. And if Obama should lose, I expect chaos. Yet, if Obama should win, I expect celebratory chaos! I think it is going to suck for a long, long time, no matter what the outcome.

I used to be more open to liberal ideas before this campaign. I used to think I was a fairly moderate conservative, but I have become much more conservative during this campaign because I have found that even those moderate democrats have gone over to the more liberal side, and I realize what kind of a slippery slope compromise can be.... While I'm not sure being overly conservative is a good thing, being too liberal is definitely NOT a good thing.
