I think your question is incomplete, it does not include the rational behind the second amendment, namely, that in a time of war, because all the population has the right to bear arms, they will be more capable of joining a wartime militia when they are drafted. Since we no longer have the draft, the circumstances around which Americans are entitled to own firearms has also changed. There is a need for guns in terms of hunting, but you really do not need an AK-47 to hunt deer or wolves. A simple rifle will do better than any weapon intended for warfare.

I do not think the public has access to nor knows how to even find the facts to support a conspiracy theory. The only thing we do know is that 9/11 served the interests of the Republicans in every possible way. That coupled with the fact that Republicans did indeed capitalize on the deaths of 4k Americans should be proof enough to make you vote Democrat.

No, Barack can handle it even though he has no experience.
The world is screwed up. The fact is America has no position with which to tell other nations what to do when they all hate us. Obama will fix this situation because he actually has a skill at diplomacy, or would you say being almost totally unknown and getting 18 million votes is not impressive? Why did people flock to Obama's standard? Because he actually delivered answers that made sense and committed him to a position on an issue. In terms of the state of the country, Obama will improve it by investing in the people of the United States. McCain will give you classically social conservative issues like ending abortion and denying gay people basic human rights.

I like the Xbox360 by far because the games are more mature and the xbox live feature is too robust to not use. Built in voice chat works really well, a lot of people are playing online and the graphics are better. More unique games on WII but I just cannot stand the wii remote, it makes my wrist hurt just thinking about it.

Obama is biracial and has obviously had a hard time understanding his role in the world. He has probably been shunned by white and black people because of his heritage, since his books are autobiographical, it seems obvious that you pulled these quotes out of his book as he narrates the thoughts and ideals that shaped him as he changed into an adult. Are you defined solely by things you thought and did at a young age? Or is it possible that you have changed as a result of experiences?

Hey Republicans, you guys have been controlling the course of the country for eight years and the country is an absolute mess. Why are you so interested in ignoring the facts around you? 0.01% of the population has made a lot of the money and everyone else has tread water or lost their homes. Does this this sound like a situation where you want someone who said "I don't really know anything about the economy" in the white house?

No; Scott McClellan is telling the truth. His book reveals the real story.
Scott McClellan is telling the story the way he experienced it. There are far too many people working at the white house for any one person to have a sole understanding of the truth. However, having lived through the period in question, and having known all that I did, I knew at the time that the english intelligence report that the weapons of mass destruction was based was a total fraud and the world community had declared it so. (well the non-mainstream press and the rest of the world press part of the world community.

We need to learn how to have an intelligent conversation. What is a label like liberal or conservative. These things mean many different things to many different people, so why pretend that they have any cohesive meaning when applied to millions of people. For convenience we use the terms, but it is important to remember that they are flawed barometers for anything real. What are the issues people want to talk about, what is the republican solution? What is the democratic solution? If we answer these questions perhaps we could get along at the same time as we actually could create a concensus and move forward as a country.

In the unlikely event that Iran chose to commit suicide, I would want a president who would use this event to create major change in the Middle East. Barack Obama would defend Israel and save it from the Iranians just the same as any of the other two Presidents would. With Barack, the possibility of Iran invading would drop.

    Neither, because . . .
Let the process run its course. It will mean more democrats registered to vote in the general election, which is good thing if we want to avoid being ruled by insane people who do not know the word "compromise." If these people had to choose which child to save from a fire they would probably let both of them die.

No; Barack Obama still has a better chance of winning in November.
I believe West Virginia will be a part of the equation for the general election, but the idea that democrats will not vote for Obama is absurd. Obama will win many white voters in the general election when there is no Hillary in the equation.

    10 9
    No
The hijackers on September 11th were criminals only. You are playing into Al Queda's hands when you treat them as a nation, which is what they need to be in order to declare war on anyone. Ask yourself this question, if 20 Americans hijacked planes in Russia and attacked their government, stock exchange and military centers, would you think that America was declaring war on Russia? Of course you would not, those Americans would be criminals. DUH...

Democrats Get Combative Over Iraq; who won the debate?

    38 20
    Barack Obama
Obviously Barack Obama won because he was the only who stated the clear answer. The war was a mistake and it should never have happened. However, we are in the middle of it now and we have to find a way to trap the rest of the world in the war so that we at least look like we tried when we leave (after finally realizing we cannot win this war or choose a future for a country full of people who hate the US and believe we are only in Iraq to use them for our own gain). Once we leave, the terrorists will not be able to blow things up as easily because then it will be clear that the terrorists are to blame. As long as the US is there the terrorists have a get out of jail free card because when your house blows up and you are the lone survivor, you have no clue as to whether Al Queda did it or the US did it. The iraqis clearly choose America more often than not because we actually have a history as a nation of persecuting muslims. They do not choose Al Queda as often because they are not a NATION. The terrorists are not a NATION, this is a hugely important fact. This makes them more vulnerable in that they do not have as many resources as a nation, but it makes them far more dangerous when you treat them like a nation rather than criminals (which is what they are). Invading Iraq was in effect treating Al Queda as if they were a NATION. Why does nobody understand this?
