Born in the 80s and grew up in the 90s/00s. I had the best of all worlds. The 80s, a decade of The Breakfast Club and hair Metal Bands and the 90s where Brit Pop blossemed and Nirvana were supreme, Disney's Lion King..enough said. :P All we need to do now is add in a Transformer or two, some Spice Girls and few Ninja Turtles and we got a Party...

I don't really have an ego per say. (I do like knocking down a few egos now and then). I am a down to earth sort of person, I like to think of myself as equal to most, I excel in certain things but I am no big head. I have my “I AM KING OF THE WORLD” moments but then the hanger over kicks in and I realise...I am just an average Jane.

I have been on many occasions approached by said 'whacko’s' and I am polite and I do consider what they are saying but I do find them to be a little irritating. (I had one a few years back who kept insisting that he was my Brother and that we all related via God) I can see that the way they put their beliefs out there can put people off Christianity. Every religion has its extremists…I think people need to find faith for themselves…Make their own judgements and not let the religiously extreme over shadow the true meaning of said religion if you choose to believe.

I don't take any meds but have managed to control my highs & lows accordingly. I find doing things that I enjoy helps like watching movies, drawing, listening to music or reading. Talking to my friends/family has really really helped me over the years, when I was at my worst...I kept everything inside, which isn't the way to go because it just eats away at you, pushing you further into the darkness...Communication is key. If you feel like your depression is getting really bad you should maybe see your Doctor and try therapy (it sounds stupid but I know it helps some people) I tried therapy and it didn't quite work for me...I think that’s because I am stubborn…but you never know it might help you. Sometimes we need to hit rock bottom to find ourselves again, that’s what it took me, and a good cry can help too. You can try and write down how you’re feeling too. I have stacks of journals/diaries full of inane ramblings. It did help get me through… …All I know is with Depression it’s about getting through each day step by step, when I find myself getting down, I sleep or I go for a long walk. I hope this helps a little, I wish I could be of more help. Just take care dude.

You can't judge a person's actions because you don't know why he/she chose to take their life. I am not saying its right (and if you ever feel that suicide is the only option then you need to talk to Samaritans or someone close to you, suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem…don’t do it) No one chooses to feel like suicide is the only option out of whatever mental/physical pain they are experiencing. I think until you know what it’s like to hit rock bottom, to really see no way out…to feel only despair then only then can you understand…taking your own life isn’t for weak hearted. I am advocate for Suicide prevention centres like Samaritans because sometimes all someone needs is a little bit of hope...to pull them through.
