I think this is the beginning of the end for John McCain
and said : My vote is my wish--that this is the beginning of the end--however, I am more cynical than I want to be: He wants to suspend campaigning and encourage Obama to do so (along with Joe), so that ONLY Palin would be out stumping presidential politics and keeping on the minds of voters. . . .masterful, but extremely deceitful, plan. . . .

No. John McCain is a joke, even with Palin as Vice President.
and said : The answers do not truly reflect my thinking on McCain: (1) I believed in McCain's messaging during the last cycle (running against Bush II). . .he seemed moderate. (2) I respect his service to the country during the Viet Nam war (my own father was a POW during WWII--I can empathize with McCain very personally). (3) His choice of Palin does not align with my other observations of McCain and set off my conspiracy alarm bells. . . if nothing else, I think his vetting of Palin missed a great deal and reflects poorly on his judgement. . . .

and said : Have to own the fact that I am 55 and certainly don't have the physique for it--nevertheless, if given a chance, I would in a second. . . I push the envelop whenever I can (showers outside at the beach--in private areas), so sure--I would do it.

I Blame
and said : First, I blame Bush for both his bankrupt tax policies, his kowtowing to insurance companies instead of dealing with health, and for his pre-emptive war with Iraq. Rarely have American presidents turned their backs on the values of this country and engaged in such an illegal activity as this war. Bush is solely to blame for that. But there are others responsible for things awry with the country, too: Partly the educational system in several parts of the country is to blame for not really preparing our young people for the 21st century. If you visit many classrooms in my region (central North Carolina) the classes are still preparing people for an economy that longer exists. The schools have to work smarter and more proactively than reactively. The media and our consumer-based culture is also to blame for some of our ills. Young people are NOT trained to be critical readers and thinkers, but they ARE trained to buy & use--then buy some more. If we really want to have an economy that is world class--this practice has to change.

and said : Why would you need to protect something that does not need protection. The language will go in the direction it needs to go based on what users decide. Put the money and resourses into something more, like healthcare and alternative energy and climate, instead of wasting time and energy on policing something that cannot be policed.
