He couldn't afford the business he claimed to be ready to buy if he worked the next 10 years! He is the product of the frantic and now failed campaign run of a desperate, desperate man who realized he was on the verge of being the first white man to lose the presidency to black guy (that was a joke, don't get all crazy on me people)! and said : For 2 weeks now, conservatives have predicting doom and Dems spend the whole day defending Obama (aside from the occasional Palin/McCain jokes). Its sad really because, the world isn't gonna end and we aren't gonna die, so just relax and lets act like rational adults not schizophrenic assholes. After every election, members of the losing team are predicting doom, and guess what, we're still here. When the nation was experiencing the recession just before the Great Depression, people had a choice, Dems or Repubs. They choose Repubs. In Hoover's 4 years in office, the unemployment rate goes from 3.2% to 23.6%. Stocks lose 80% of their value and the GNP falls 31%. After 4 long years he's kicked out and Roosevelt (D) replaces him. He had a little plan to "redistribute the wealth" (exact quote). While his top tax rate is unreasonable high and would never work today, the economy began to work again and by the end of his term, the GNP is up 36.2% and unemployment is down to 17.2%. If history repeats itself, and it always does, I'm happy I went with the Dem. Plus, we should be excited, we caught it before it got so bad. I have faith that Obama will do fine and I trust his judgment entirely. He's not going to ruin America because he's smart enough to know when he needs help and he seeks out the advice of those more educated on other areas of government. In 4 years, you guys won't be able to fight him on the economy so you'll saying, "don't elect guys who wear blue ties 4 out of 5 times you see him. Go with Palin, she doesn't even wear ties, and she's trained to wink and knows 8 different folksy phrases". (Sorry, I know, the Palin jokes, but she won't go away, did 10 "exclusive" interviews last week, so I'll keep it up too")

Firing an employee on the basis of political affiliation is a violation of ones 1st Amendment rights to freedom of speech and expression which has been spread not only to government but to businesses. It also violates the 14th Amendment, their rights to life, liberty and property. It also protects against one having certain priviledges taken away and has been intrepreted as punishing one for taking part in any right we hold as citizens. Real business owners know this because while these laws were made to keep govt in check, businesses and corporations have became such a big part of our society that these laws are also used on them. There are many cases on the books with these issues and when proven, the defendents ALWAYS lose. 1st, I think your claim is interesting that you're a business owner. My dad owns a few stores and has maybe 50 employees. He is a very busy man, he definately can't afford to spend hours at the computer on a blog website as you seem to be able to. I mean, you're on everyday and have been so for a long time. Long story short, you're lying. Next, I think anyone who would do that is a douche. I say wait to see what will happen. Everyone was fine under Clinton and now that the same rates are being suggested everyones running for the hills. These small business owners are pretending they'll go bankrupt, they'll be fine just as they were then. Lastly, this only adds to the problem. Why put more people out work, adding to the unemployment rate and put a heavier tax burden on us all. Who do you this will pay the most? You guessed it, the business owners that were laying people off prematurely since they have more money than say me, a college student working in retail making just under $30,000 a year. And sooner or later, businesses will start shutting down, hopefully including your "make pretend, in your head" business. As Americans we need to be supporting each other and shooting for the higher goal of prosperity for all, not just those who were lucky enough to be born in the "right" families or the "right" neighboorhoods or with the "right" skin color or go the "right schools". The middle class is the economys bread and butter, we buy the vast majority of all goods and services. When we can keep more of our money, we can spend more money meaning small businesses will earn more! Yes, that includes your imaginary business.

No. Voting for Obama is NOT a sin!
and said : I'm not Catholic but I grew up in church and one thing that is consistant with Christians and Catholics is that they are pro-life. I am as well but I don't believe that this one thing I disagree with Obama over was enough to throw my vote out to McCain. Ps. Obama is not the most liberal pro-choice politian. Check out Obama's response to an abortion question during the 3rd debate with McCain. It puts more emphasis on prevention than termination. By the priest's words, you'd think Obama was out to make a law to force every woman to have an abortion at least once in life, you know for the experience!

and said : Unfortunately, Republicans are not the only ones she'd need to win. Republicans only make up 31% of the electorate. She needs to do more than win over Repubs. She's need Independents who weren't very fond of her. Dems don't really like her so they are pointless to pursue, I can't think of any Dems who were as crazy about her as her own supporters.

and said : Wow, this is a lie. This was a comment taken out of Obama's book "The Audacity of Hope" which was after his 1st meeting with Bush in 2004 after he was elected to the Senate. and said : this is so freakin amazing! to the top comment, i have done my research and if you really believe that John McCain and Sarah Stupid would have done this country any good, then you're just as misinformed as many of the other McCain supporters. This is a man who bragged back in January that he voted with Bush 90% of the time to a host of cameras. With our economy the way it is, we needed change not more of the same. And Obama's economic plan has been called better by many newspapers across America. I have researched it and McCain was saying change, but he was just calling the same thing something different. You can put lipstick on a pig....

Many blacks have said that they voted for obama because he is black. The media did not make any comments on these statement. If a white person had said he voted for McCain because he is white would the media have called him a racist?

and said : Yes, but its a slightly flawed question. For blacks, its not just his skin color, it's what this means. Lets not forget that while that pushed us to stay in lines at the polls, 88% of the voting blacks in 2004 voted Democratic. In 2000 it was 89%. We voted 95% Democrat this year. Not a huge increase because we were already strong Dems. 3% of the Dem voters in 2004 were black. 6% of Obama's 52% were black. The point? Don't give us all the credit! Anyway, many blacks, including myself never thought we'd have a chance to vote for an intelligent black nominee. He wasn't Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson (who we did not rally behind even though they are black and both ran for prez), he spoke to the mainstream, which appealed to us as well. We don't want to be just "black". Yes, that's what we are, but it's only one part of us, we are regular people who in many cases, mind our own business and go to work and school and lead fairly boring lives just like everyone else. So, I voted Obama, because of what he meant to me personally and because it was an easy choice going against McCain. For a white person, who has only ever seen white nominees, and has only ever seen people who look just like them rise to power, to say that they voted for McCain because he's white, is simply class supremacy. For us, its our first chance to elect a man who represents many of us in a positive light. If you don't understand what I'm saying, and you think its racist, then you obviously don't understand how blacks, especially the non-racist ones as myself feel to live in a country that we are told "you can be anything you want to be" but to know in your heart that an invisible ceiling is always there. Barack broke that ceiling and now millions of African American parents can tell their children "you REALLY can be anything you want to be".

As of today we are no longer McCain supporters and Obama supporters. We are Americans and America must come first. Let's get to work!
and said : I still feel that he and the Republicans leaders did so much to damage America with their hateful, lying campaign. I think they've made it harder for their supporters to trust and respect Obama. Did you hear them booing at every mention of Obama's name while Obama's supporters applauded Obama's menion of McCain. Obama has been very Presidential in making sure that his supporters have always remained respectful while the GOP encouraged anger and outbursts. Only after the media began to blast him on it did McCain began to attempt to settle his crowds but it was too late, the damage was done. Its sad really because we do need to come together as a country and unite. "Not as red states or blue states. There is no real America, no fake America. No pro-America parts of the country, no anti-America parts of the country. Just the United States of America" (pulled from an Obama speech ;) ).
