Undecided
and said : One of the hardest questions in the world to answer. When the logic is drilled down to its most basic underlying principles, the inevitable question must be: IS WAR NECESSARY? If war is necessary, the conditions under which it can potentially be waged must be determined. Once those conditions are met, and a war is waged, it becomes necessary to determine what we can and cannot put up with. But our enemy's tactics must be the line that we use to determine our course of action. We must look at the actions of the enemy and make tough decisions about how far we are willing to go to accomplish our goals. At the very heart of it all is the need to protect our people. Protection comes at a high cost when the enemy is willing to pay with their lives.
and said : Still missing an option in your poll - Undecided between Hillary, Obama, and McCain.
I have yet to research McCain - what little I've noticed of him from the past, I recall having liked him as a person when I've seen him on various talk shows over the years and on some news debate panels. He has always seemed clear-headed and dedicated. As far as I can remember, I do not remember his name standing out amongst the list of Republicans under fire for all sorts of indiscretions. In my book, McCain is a possible person to vote for, but I will have to research his history, his intentions, his plans, and anything I can find about him in the international news sites online before making a decision.
Hillary is a woman I despised before the Billy fiascos, and even more so after her "stand by my thing we call a man" thing. I suppose the two of them have redeemed themselves in my eyes somewhat since then. Two years ago I was determined to always believe I would never vote for a woman for president because she would be forever under the scrutiny of a male dominated system and would be seen as a menstruating witch or a sappy emotional mess. With all I've discovered about Obama, I've changed my tune quite a bit on that.
Obama...well, don't get me started.
And there you have it folks, the ever important opinion of mine. :)

Kiley answered
What about...
and said : Several things have to be defined in order to answer this question. First, what is God? Is he an all-knowing, perfect being? Are there any other gods above or below him or at his same level? After people agree on a definition of god, then you can go about discussing whether it's possible that that thing is really true.
The next important thing to agree upon would be whether people are, in any way, shape or form, in existence before they come to earth. Because if so, the discussion can lead to a whole different place - why do they come to earth? Did God create them? Do they choose to come? Could they be punished or need to learn lessons? Could they be taking vacation? On the other hand, if it is decided, even just for argument's sake, that no person is in existence, in any form, before being born in this life we're all experiencing, then it narrows the discussion considerably. Why does God keep creating new individuals? Did he create a certain number of them in the beginning and has been recycling them ever since?
Of course, once the first two questions are settled (definition of God and existence of individual before birth) then the question is - what happens after death? If we wish to entertain concepts of heaven and hell, we have to agree first that it is possible something happens after we die. If we agree to entertain that idea, even if just for argument's sake, then we can discuss the likelihoods that exist from there.
A real probing of the possibilities is necessary before a discussion of proof can begin. And if the parameters are set first, there is no need to discuss it in terms of the Bible or religion - we'd just be playing a game of "what-if?"
Of course, a conversation that exhausts all of those possibilities would take a lifetime to have, wouldn't it? But, even if you believe in the God of Christians or any other god, what god would condemn a man for seeking truth? If that god is your god, then why do you want to follow him?
Very heavy questions, yes.

is honesty important? yeah.
y not be honest about y they're each there? hillary's been gunning for president since about twenty years before bill was a hopeful. obama's been avoiding it until his status as a popular black hopeful paid his way into a jumpstarted campaign he didn't want this time around. mccain's some old guy that's just riding the wake of the democrats who can't get their crap together and haven't learned what the concept of history repeating itself is all about, so he'll end up winning by default.

No
and said : Geraldine Ferraro spoke the truth - like it or not, we live in a country that views males more importantly than blacks, more importantly than females. Has anyone in America remembered the date that black men got the right to vote?
How dare anyone suggest that a woman has no right to BITCH as loudly as a black man? Men insist on putting women down, but it's ok, because it doesn't come with a RACISM label.
This man should be ashamed for talking about women in this way. Anyone who can't even hear the derrogatory demeaning tone towards women should shut up if they ever think that racism is bad.
Ferraro acknowledged the truth - she was put in the VP slot BECAUSE SHE WAS A WOMAN. Obama wasn't ready to be running for president - he told us all that two years ago, yet, when the funding came through, and the pastors convinced the black parishioners that Obama was their man, and when the black money came forward with Obama's name written all over it, Obama was made the presidential candidate. The fact that he went along with it while Hillary Clinton intended it doesn't make me a racist, doesn't make Ferraro a racist, doesn't make Hillary a racist, doesn't make anyone a racist - it makes us all realists!
Clinton didn't ask to be the woman candidate. Neither did Ferraro. Ferraro went along with it, Hillary made it happen.
Before you judge me - consider this - I have not decided who to vote for I am equally divided between Barack Obama's charismatic, idealistic empty promises, Hillary's insistent, bitchy, overpowering, experienced, democratic promises, and McCain's age-old, tried and true, militaristic, desperate-to-separate-from-Bu... promises! I'll make up my mind when one of them proves a little more worthiness than another.
But this video is nothing but a diatribe that made me so sick I could not listen to another second of the masochistic, male chovenist, ACCEPTED bullshit that Americans eat up after 3:57.

I've often wondered about this, and I think the first thing for a discussion like this is to get people to come to an agreement about the meaning of racism. So, when I go online and look up the definition, I get this from wikipedia:
"Racism has many definitions, the most common being that members of one racial group consider themselves intrinsically superior to members of other racial groups. Racism inherently starts with the assumption that there are taxonomic differences between different groups of people. Without this assumption, prejudices against different peoples would be categorised as being prejudices related to national or regional origin, religion, occupation, social status or some other distinction."
And this from the Meriam-Webster site:
" a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race."
I am white, I fit into neither definition. If non-white people view me in such a way that makes them feel superior to me - whether it is because I deserve such treatment, or whether it is caused by an over-reaction to their plights - then those people are racist. Therefore, not only whites are capable of racism.
